    Personally seeing the unbelievable power in strongman is way more interesting than ripped physiques or bodybuilders, imagine Larry with years of strongman training under his belt... there's no reason you couldn't be the strongest in the world at your peak. It blew my mind to learn you're 24!!

    • @Rocamboss
      @Rocamboss 5 років тому +14

      There are plenty of other guys better than Larry at the same age, so it's not going to be easy. Mateusz Kieliszkowski just to name one of them. second place at WSM at just 24.

    • @titanslayerz5891

      Roca roca yea there might be guys the same age but there way bigger then larry and hes still lifting same weight if not more

    • @Rocamboss
      @Rocamboss 5 років тому +8

      @@titanslayerz5891 That's discussable. The guy i mentioned for example weights 147 kg ( 325 lbs ). From what i know, Thor weights about 180 kg ( 400 lbs ) in his off-season and goes up to 195-200kg(430-440 lbs) in his preps for WSM. Even if he's 100 lbs heavier than Mateusz, this " smaller " guy destroys him when it comes to stones ( check out his arnold stone to shoulder 4 lifts, while Thor and Shaw managed one) , is equal in strength on log and is really good, if not better on other events like truck pull or atlas stones. The strength sports are really special, you can't really say X is the best. Everyone has his strenghts and his flaws. When it comes to pound for pound strenght, Larry is just a beast. He's definately the strongest on his category, but that's powerlifting. When it comes to strongman, no one really gives a damn about what weight you were in a competition. The guy that gets the most points win, and that's Thor's strength. He's really good over-all, while guys like Mateusz, which are really good on most events, fall short ( he's a very bad deadlifter, but that might change in the future ). Same goes with Larry. I think that due to his short size / small frame he is limited to go up in weight. I can't see him putting more than 10-20 lbs on him at most. So when it comes to powerlifting, definately the best on his category. When it comes to strongman, i don't think he'd ever crack the top 8 in the world. Except log, i don't see other lifts of his that would be good in strongman. Squats too, but that's not as often now.
