Spent 2 months last year in Nis. Can’t wait to get back , the absolute best people I have ever met in my life, excuse my grammar I’ve consumed a large quantity of rakia ! I’m from Alaska and I spent time in Macedonia 🇲🇰 Serbia 🇷🇸 and Bulgaria 🇧🇬 best time of my fucking life! Michael , Sasha and Anna , I’ll be back very soon! The hospitality and the love of the Slavic blew me away!
I really like your channel man. It’s very unique and fast paced. I love how much time you’ve taken to show Balkan countries. Im Albanian and hope you come back and visit us brother. Thanks for coming to the Balkans in general, we all appreciate it 🇦🇱🇲🇪 🇷🇸 🇷🇴 🇧🇦 🇭🇷 🇲🇰 🇽🇰 🇬🇷
Bro, I was following you from your first videos in Belgrade and after changing account lost track of you, but so glad yourr channel is doing better than ever. Can remeber that you had doubts but this now looks great. You are getting better and better, Bold will be crushed from the throne very soon. Keep it lit!
Thanks a lot!! lol. Once you get to know the places better, it is easier to make the videos i guess. Still have a lot of improving to do. But, no matter what, no one can beat Bald except Bourdain. lol. Both amazing dudes. Appreciate the feedback! Means a lot!!
Hey, im from Nip, adn you recorded this video 4 days before my birthday! Also if you come back here, just remember, we are know for our pubs (kafanas) so check them our! There are alot of legendary food, such as the Burgers/Pljeskavicas, Ćevapi, and more amazing food!
Nis is so underrated when it comes to food! Most places have amazing food! Even random ones. Plus, Serbs are amazing people!! So much false information spread about Serbs :/
Thanks! Yea, BBQ capital indeed. BBQ is everywhere!! and it's amazing! I had more for dinner. Now i remember why I rated Serbia #1 for best meat lol. the people in Nis are so friendly too! except for some of the currency exchange ladies lol. They don't like questions, those ones. I know why though...they struggle with English. So, it's my fault really. Hope you've been doing great!
@@EvanRamani Don't be mad at them. Not everyone in Serbia knows English. If you want to communicate with Serbs who know English, choose younger people as interlocutors.
@@momirkoo I'm not mad at them at all. I know it's super hard to try to speak a language you don't use often. I just mentioned it because i thought it was kind of interesting. Almost all people here are like that lady that helped me in the cheese and meat shop. Super friendly!
@@EvanRamani Damn Evan, I didn't expect you to come so soon, I thought you would stay in Albania longer, I waited for more videos from there. I have to remind myself which are the best places to go in Niš! But it is not only known for the best BBQ and grill, but also for the best cheese and meat burek in my opinion! What say you, comparing this pljeskavica to the Ukrainian "Serbian" one? LOL
@@yudzin88 Omg, that Ukrainian burger was a disaster! lol not only did it taste bad, it made me sick for over two weeks! I had to get probiotics and stuff like that. Don't eat Serbian food in Odessa when you go lol. They have excellent Turkish restaurants there though. Probably because lots of turkish tourists. I wanted to come to Nis since November or something like that but that whole Kosovo conflict thing kept me away. I was gonna do like your dad did and go around Albania since it sounded really cool but when i got there, i took extra work and also started reading about genghis khan. That guy was a monster (in a good way)! lol. Had kids everywhere in the world, killed his brother (this one is bad), and more. best cheese and meat burek? I didn't know that. I thought that was Belgrade and Bosnia. That thing those ladies gave me was as good as an excellent meat burek! One of the best things i've had. Amazing stuff.
on 10:57 that is begining of tunel from fortress to near hill where our hero Stevan Sindjelic shot gun powder and kill all ottomans and uprising Serbs, the story about tunnel is that ottoman used it ambush Serbs camping near city and planing to atack fortress, so otoman troops ambushed our wariors and in all that mess our hero blow up them all... sorry for bad english

Serbia is not under Hungary, mate. It's South of Hungary 😉 But nice video 👌 I'm going on a Balkan tour next month, im looking forward to it. Thanks for uploading. Cheers 👍
They're very different. Novi Sad is a different kind of beauty. It's like blondes and brunettes. Some like blondes, some like brunettes, some like both lol.
Back in Serbia. First time in southern Serbia. I was told by many Serbians I met that I have to see Nis. It's been on my list for a year. Amazing city! beautiful, even in the winter!
Great video and more then great choice of music coveres, thank you! :) I must but tell you that you mixed up the King Milan of Serbia with Prince Alexander of Battenberg (not Serbia at all) and THE STATUE IN NIS CENTER IS NOT ONE OF A BULGARIAN, YOU JUST MADE A DIRECT WELL-KNOWN NATIONALISTIC PROVOCATION TO ALL CITIZENS OF NIS :) Nis, its surrounding and especially vast parts of south-eastern Serbia were extremely tortured and devastated by the Bulgarian armies on the begining of 20th Century in their invasion attempts, Balkan Wars, First World War and Second World War, as Bulgarians always allied with the Axis - Austro-Hungarians and German Nazis. That is the real truth and please have it in mind when unlawfully calling us names of our past Tyrants. If nothing, then out of respect to raped and slaughtered Serbian women and children in South-Eastern Serbia. No hard feelings for the modern Bulgarians, they are always welcome to visit us, this is just an overview of forgiven, but not forgoten events made by some too violent extremists. balkaninsight.com/2019/04/12/serbia-under-bulgarian-occupation-documenting-wwi-crimes/ May I suggest visiting the Sicevo Gorge with Balajnica Cave, with oldest discovered remains of a human being in Europe, and why not conquering the Suva Planina Mountain sometimes in future, its not har at all :) (Thats the Mountain Peek you See eastern of Nis, when standing at Cele Kula and that place you bought the Best Pljeskavica on Earth). 15 Minutes eastern of Nis is Niska Banja (Spa) where you could get a great health treatment with radioactive therapy, radioactive baths actually. Google it - you´ll find it interesting. :) Best of luck and come visit us again whenever you can :)
no no, you misheard me. I said he is a Serbian hero. Without him meeting the prince of Bulgaria, there would be NO Garash cake. So, i was saying he is also a Bulgarian hero since he was one of the people that created the Bulgarian cake. lol That is why i called him a Bulgarian hero. I know he is Serbian. If you listen to the start of that clip, you will hear me saying that he is Serbian hero, a famous one. You misheard me :). I did not mean any disrespect at all. Very kind of you to suggest the spots! I did not know Nis was so awesome. So, i only planned a week when i visited. Next time, i will def stay longer. I appreciate you taking the time to make suggestions! Again, i did not mean to offend. :) Have a great day!
