💯 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 There’s always something new to learn about this smashing piece of software put together by amazing ppl and explained and demo’d but such nice, gracious, generous and knowledgeable producers and techs. Thank you so much!!
Dude I’ve purchased pretty much everything from your website and check in daily for new videos for a while now. But this may have changed everything for me. The nitty gritty stuff is what a lot of young producers overlook especially in ableton. This is a game changer. Thank you Peter!
Hey, U made the stamps wrong, you have to start it with 0:00 to get it work on the timeline (its quite handy feature). Maybe I will watch it sometimes but at the moment i dont need it but appreciate this content.
This is so helpful. As someone who likes to teach themselves and just wants to know what all of the tools ACTUALLY DO so I can come up with my own original uses for them, instead of just getting second hand tips and tricks to emulate. Again, so helpful, thank you.
Definitely one of the best teachers, on the internet for music production, make sure you apply to point blank music, trying to think of the name of the other top music schools, just look them up the top 10 of the best music schools make sure you apply to all of them! Top notch!
Amazing video. You are an asset to all of us and you should have triple the sub count. This video serves as a database that we can all use to get instant info on anything we are struggling with. This video probably wasn't meant to be watched all at once, but rather, the specific thing you need to know about, you would click the time stamp which is so fantastic man. However I am watching the whole thing in one go jus to refresh my mind. Thank you man, super valuable video that I will use for years.
THIS IS SO HELPFUL OMG THANK YOU! Thank you so much for being redundant, not many videos will say stuff like "reverb, this adds reverb", but you just saying that jelps so much and really grounded my understanding of things 11:20 even just saying "volume makes it louder" just makes me feel better
I've been a musician for years now and I've only just started music production so I can write my own music. This video is so helpful to someone like me, who doesn't have the knowledge of production require to make good music. Thank you so much!!
Partway through and know I'll be referencing this video a lot. I know what a lot of effects do but there are so many parameters I can change and that's where the challenge of using these things comes in for me. Thank you for taking the time to go over these parameters!
Epic work mate, especially on what certain producers will be interested in using on a track and what would be of no use.. its helped me alot and looking forward to using the knowledge you've shared with us all.. fair play for the effort and i for one really appreciate it
Just found this as a new Ableton use. This is superbly useful as I was feeling lost about what all those parameters and effects do. No I know how many different ways compression could be used. I also had no idea what Corpus was, and I was surprised, and I'd be interested find out what people do with this.
I can’t believe I watched this in one sitting. The tile flew by! Such an informative video and just what I needed without even realizing it. Thank you for doing the work I was too lazy to do for myself. You have inspired me to create a new audio production UA-cam playlist for myself titled “Essentials”… or something like that.
this is exactly what I was looking for to learn about Ableton and how to mess with sounds and understand the application. you are a fucking saint thank you 💜💛💜💛
This is gold! Thank you very much for the time you put into this, definitely have this saved and bookmarked. I'm sure you will get tons of views from this
Great video brotha! Still a little confused on the diffusion network in Reverb...so "Reflect" controls the Early Reflections volume & "Diffuse" controls the diffusion network volume? Whats the difference between the diffusion network and input processing? Aren't they doing the same thing?
Not sure if you cover what I'm about to ask because I need to watch this video after work, feel free to skip answering if it's in the video! Is there a general rule of thumb when it comes to the order that your effects get applied? I guess I'm not really looking for a rule even, just some good practices to keep things clean. Thanks again!
Dang, the work that went into this. This vid's gonna rack up views as it becomes a reference point for a large number of Ableton producers.
Great work.
Yes because I look at this at least once a day

@@ProdSonSwift same here. There’s so much to learn and do. Creativity explodes in so many different directions every time I watch this video.

the way you use delay in your pronounciation of the word delay,..master level ❤
THIS IS SO HELPFUL OMG THANK YOU!
Thank you so much for being redundant, not many videos will say stuff like "reverb, this adds reverb", but you just saying that jelps so much and really grounded my understanding of things
11:20 even just saying "volume makes it louder" just makes me feel better
I've been using ableton for almost 8 months and this was so helpful. I needed this. Very simple, fast and understandable

That laugh at 28:06 lmao. Great vid though! As someone who is new to ableton, this more than provides enough for a tutorial :)
Love this,. been needing to run across something like this. staying tuned as well
Great to go back to basics sometimes. Good speech delivery and pedagogy, too! Thank you!

As a newer producer trying to learn this was an immense help
The video I always wanted but thought we be to much to ask for. You are a saint among men, sir!

What a labour of love, thanks so much, it's so helpful for a newbie like me.

FYI if you click on the (i) on the bottom left you can hover your cursor over anything in Ableton and it'll teach you what that thing is.
Incredible work ‼

Is there a general rule of thumb when it comes to the order that your effects get applied? I guess I'm not really looking for a rule even, just some good practices to keep things clean.
