Thanks for the tips. I just did my first interior real estate vid and was basically walking in the room and looking left and right with the gimbal. Not overjoyed with the results. I'll try your tips next time.
It's interesting how the moves can enhance the interior. But, architecture wise, movements should be more about telling the story inside the building. The opposite relations within interior and exterior. Inside and outside passing. Up and down.. and so on. Revealing the space and the project. Then it will be even more cinematic, promenade, interesting. Showing not only the space, but also how it connects to it's interior relationship and surrounding.
Great content, I'd love to take your course, I just haven't done it because the 2 editing chapter are from softwares I don't use, I use Davinci Resolve
Superb... How do you get such a great dynamic range in video? Can you tell me what settings do you use? I am using a Canon 5D Mark IV for interior videos and its difficult for me to get such details in videos.
Thanks for the info Grant, what is the gimbal you are using? When I go to your video gear site none of the icons are clickable to purchase the equipment
I've started a real estate channel recently and I have to admit I definitely need a gimbal for my upcoming projects and this guide is awesome to explain what to expect from one.
Hi Grant, great work! Thank you for sharing all your amazing knowledge with all of us. Question. What's the technique you used to get the views and interior exposure that you see in the vide above at min: 5:17? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance!.
That was really just good timing in terms of the time of day when I shot that and where the sun was. Those windows were also tinted making it easier to get a better interior exposure. Cheers
Hey Grant, the swimming pool and pool table drone shots are exceptional mate. Just got the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and looking forward to try it out. Did you use the DJI ND filters?
Nice video. Quality looks great on your videos. Could be a bit smoother, but overall good tips. There are many more gimbal moves as well that I'm sure you know! Also, why do you hold the gimbal like that where it's out in front? That looks so weird and the Center of Gravity must be way off
what Settings do you recommend for my iphone xs and gimbal, resolution and fps for a real state video shoot? hope to get answer quickly since i have a new project! thanksss
Do you like to shoot 1080 or 4K? I have been doing 4k but it doesnt look as smooth especially when I slow mo the footage, looks so choppy :( Please reply! Using a Sony A6400 and samyang 12mm lens!
@@tobiasbauer7902 So do people shoot 4k 30fps and just go really slow? I tried but it doesnt look smooth, however in 1080p 60fps its so smooth especially when edited in slow motion, but the quality isnt nearly as good :(
I feel like the majority of shots are all too fast, slow motion shouldn’t be there to save you because it doesn’t feel very real. Work on filming in a standard frame rate and slow yourself down, always looks better
I like to reaveal a room from coming out behind a plant, lamp, wall etc - works well.
Spoon feed.
Thanks so much for your time and the love you put into the video!
Samesies! This is some higher learning.

If you reverse your “straight push in” shot in post editing, you have a pull out!
Yeah
Like salt on a shot. Love it.
Simple straight to the point video with lots of great insights. Great stuff.
Thank you for these tips!!! I’m looking to go full time as a videographer and this will help with some demo videos!!
Best explainer of all the time
Great video and tips. I always get confused on what mode to use. What mode do you use for each of he 5 shots? Pan/Follow, Pan Tilt Follow or all lock.
Pan-Follow is my goto mode and will occasionally use pan tilt for special shots.
Thanks my friend, congratulations for the video, i'm from Brazii and I subscribed to your channel.
Great tips Grant! You should do a video about how much to charge for a real state video, cheers!

Thanks for the tips. As I’m just starting out with real estate photography, I’ll be sure to try these out on my next shoot

Great content!! Thanks a lot. Do you recommend any specific setting for slide and pan?
Hey guys, what do you think is real estate videos demand is going down because those video 360 tour ?
Did anyone notice the ninja walk may require no shoes? I'm starting to embrace the whole talking my boots off when I enter a house ha.
Great info, Thank you
Thanks so much for the great tips Grant!
Did you take a shot in canon camera?
when you perform the slide and pan moves, do you keep your finger on the trigger button ?
Excellent video - thank you!
Excelente video Grant, thanks! Should I film in 60 FPS or 30 FPS?
I would go 60fps on the gimbal to give you option of slow motion
Hey Grant, the swimming pool and pool table drone shots are exceptional mate. Just got the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and looking forward to try it out. Did you use the DJI ND filters?
Didn’t have any ND filters for interior shot and a Marumi ND8 for the exterior shots. Cheers
How do you keep the gimbal steady, without looking like you are moving up and down? Tri pod with wheels?
Mainly a combination of slow and smooth small steps and shooting in a high frame rate so I can slow it down when editing.

For this panning tilt shots I use litchi app for Osmo

No one has a real useful answer for this question…
@@darrell7952 hemm we can't avoid judder
Great Tips. Thank you.
We can also use a drone for theses moves?
What is a slider?
What gimbal do you use?
WOW I ALREADY LIKE TO WALK LIKE NINJA IN PRIVATE
maybe i should switch to this kind of videography=photography; at least can pay the bills? lol
what aperature do use?
Great content! Can i start filming real state with my smartphone and a gimbal?
Definitely - however if someone is paying you to do it they like to see expensive gear that they don't have!

41 vids you shoulnt slo mo footage that only has 24 fps, everything undee that will look choppy

41 vids have to go 60 FPS then convert to 24 FPS in the editing software if you can’t go 60fps in 4k then go 1080p in 60 FPS
Indonesia ..
How did you make your transition with your name in the beginning of the video?
Plugin for FCPX called Ripple Titlemations

Anyone who has taken his real estate bootcamp? 😊
