- Hurricane Milton is rapidly intensifying in the southern Gulf Monday morning. As expected, the storm has reached Category 5 status.

I live in Florida and need that info to determine the route I need in order to stay safe along with my mom and dad and my fur baby. Keep up the great work! When i lived in Orlando a hurricane came in on that track, approximately 2005, devastating around my house there.

Why do they keep making the comments of haven’t see one like this in 100 years when hurricane planes were after ww2 and weather radar was made in the 1970s? Why as the track been locked on tampa but the storms track has stayed the south?

@@isocarboxazid yes but could not see it due to not being able to accurately be able to track it since weather radar had not been invented then! Hurricane tracking started in 1954 and was extremely vague with the data collected!
Tampa hasn’t seen a direct hit of a hurricane in over 100 years, however the “once in a lifetime “or “biblical “ terms they put in titles are pretty corny and exaggerated of course

Weather apps use ground based radars. Weather stations use satellite images.

This Hurricane is not coming to Florida as a Cat 3. It is going into Mexico first where it will break down and come out as a Cat 2. By the time it reaches Florida it will be a tropical storm. Look at its path carefully. It is spinning clockwise and not anti clockwise.

@@flaizc6610 Florida is too saturated for it to come in as a hurricane. That is the reason it is going to Mexico first. Miami is also getting too much rain. So there is no heat in the water and on land for it to continue as a Hurricane. Thank me on Wednesday afternoon.
