- As the funeral procession of Queen Elizabeth II reached the gates of Windsor Castle, it was the final time that members of the public would be able to view her coffin in person, ahead of a private service in St George's Chapel.
Around 800 invited guests were present for the Committal Service, in the same chapel that the Queen bid farewell to her late husband Prince Philip, before the late monarch was laid to rest.

I hope the guys that walked alongside her hearse from Westminster Abbey to Windsor Castle get a good day off to rest and recuperate after that long walk!
@Real Aiglon I mean when you’re walking fairly far slowly on hard concrete with pretty stiff movements it’s not a regular walk through the park.

She was a true servant to all her people and had the hearts of many of us around the world. She is the only Queen I have ever known, and my hearts break for all us who loved her dearly.

Seeing comments from around the world for our beloved Queen is so touching. Honestly, Thank you. Thank you for your love and respect for Her Majesty, the Queen. In the last few years people have tried to tarnish her name and the monarchy, so seeing so much love for her is so reassuring. We are really feeling it here. The last 10 days have been surreal and we still cannot fathom what's happened. We've lost our sovereign, the nation's grandmother, and security blanket. This will NEVER be replicated. My employer has already said that we won't get paid any extra ! I don't care about that TBH . Nursing home owners don't care about their staff .
