One of the major reasons why Nigeria is called the giant of Africa is because of the great things the citizens are achieving, and that is not overrated, look at our music industry, our movie industry, fintech and the rest. To just say Nigeria is overrated without pointing out that the problem is the government, is insulting to all the Nigerians that have achieved great things

When people say Nigerians are Giant of Africa, they're not saying the country, they're talking about the people. Nigerians has achieved a lot individually and are marking their names outside their country.
Laughable comment! The only narrative we hear is that Nigeria is the Giant of Africa, no other African country has claimed that tittle. If you care to know, many African country are just happy benchmarking against themselves, they want to do better today than they did yesterday and the hope to do better tomorrow than they are doing today. Nigeria is the only African country that compares itself with fellow Africans, despite them being mediocre in many aspects.

I personally don't think the phrase itself is even a problem. South Africa and Rwanda are not overrrated been South Africa recognized as one of the most beautiful country in the world and 2 worldclass cities as Cape Town and Johannesburg; and Rwanda been the cleanest AND the safest Country in Africa (along with Mauritius of course) but for the rest I agreed with you

It also doesn't even count in the top 10 when it comes to rural electricity performance. South Africa is just a tale of 2 countries. South african industry, infrastructure, Technology, health care etc. South Africa have this in multiple cities and towns across the country something other African countries don't have. Multiple world class airports, stadiums, malls entertainment again in multiple cities. South african cities dominate at least half of the top 12 cities in africa.

South Africans are very misunderstood,as SAns we never compare ourselves with other countries unless provoked, we're not perfect either,we are working on our issues which stem from the oast,with that being said,it is very heartbreaking when fellow brothers & sisters assume that Native South Africans have built nothing where as most of the infrastructure you see today that is even enjoyed by our own African relatives were built under the democratic government,its also sad that some of our own Brothers choose to feed us poison,some traffic our young girls whole others do hard crimes while they're are illegally here but accepted by SAn communities....its a complicated issue but contrary to popular belief,we are not Xenophobic,yes there are isolated incidents that might occur,some are mis-identified as Xenophobic attacks but theyre just cases of mob justice which also happens to South African criminals..... it's sad to see majority of Africans defending criminality...if I'm in Ghana illegally and engage in criminal activity with other SAns while we have the police on our payroll,when the Ghanaian people take matters into their own hands it shouldnt be labelled as Xenophobic

Chief, South Africa produces more electricity than any other African country, Even Nigeria produces more electricity than Ghana. Both Algeria and Egypt have lower GDP per capita compared to South Africa and with more population.

A Nigerian sister I worked with here in New York, Anita, who resides in Canada but came for holidays in New York, had friendly argument with me about Ghana and Nigeria jollof yesterday
I went to the app and ordered HALF JOLLOF AND HALF WAAKE for her from PAPAYE restaurant in new York Bronx and she ate all the food including the bones
She enjoyed the WAAKYE so much she frankly told me, waakye is the best food she have ever tasted in her 30 years of existence
