- Moving forward with the engine rebuild on my Minneapolis Moline ZAU. Two cylinders are on, two more to go. But I have to plow some snow again.

Definitely a unique design in these moline engines, the engineers were definitely thinking outside the box! My ag shop teacher was a clean freak when it came to building engines, some of that rubbed off on me. But you got to remember they were built to be rebuilt in a barn or field and keep on going. Keep up the good work Dan!
This is hopefully not the way m m did this from the factory , as a guy who has overhauled many engines, this looks like a good way to scratch the crank putting the head and pistons in . Just saying this is pretty crudely done.
I know that gasoline engines production had just began a few years prior to the design of this engine but dang it is a bizarre layout.
2 cylinders on. It's like being halfway done. The only issue with those jugs is the freeze plugs in between. Our ZB had them rust out and it gets to be quite a chore to replace them. Overall the tractor is definitely worth the effort, it's built to last forever.
