- HP (the baby eaglet of three and the only one who hasn't fledged) is on the nest when Dad brings in a living baby animal (fox?). Corsair (the oldest) arrives and tries to nab the prey. Dad resists and flies off with the prey, Corsair takes off in hot pursuit, leaving HP alone in the nest. Seconds later, Saucy (second eaglet) flies in and Dad returns with prey. An HP-Saucy tussle over the prey - which may have fallen out of the nest. Arrival of Corsair, who is pushed by HP. Saucy takes off with empty talons, Dad pursues Saucy and Corsair flies away.
I needed the british accent guy to explain this one to me

The parents continue feeding the kids until they get so aggressive that they basically attack the parents on sight when they return with food, then the parents abandon them. Bald eagles are very much the "I kept you alive until you could get a job of your own, now get out" version of parents.

Why do they make their nests in such exposed and high up places? Does it get very cold and windy? Aren't they at risk from predators?
Considerably high up in the trees. Eagles will re-use the nest for many years. They also do not have many natural predators at that age of life except other eagles. It all has to do with natural selection. You want some to die and the stronger ones to live. They have the best genes and will carry on a more sustainable generation. That is why so many people have cancer or natural born illnesses. There is no natural selection within human beings. We further medicine instead
video is too short to understand what really happened, could be another eagle was trying to steal the fox, could be the mother came back later in the day to feed the young..these interactions take hours sometimes, a 3 min video can not tell the entire story IMO

Edited to address comments: The fox was alive when it landed in the nest, you can clearly see it trying to escape.
Highly doubt that.
The fox was highly likely dead before it even landed in the nest.
The predator's talons are about 3 cm long and razor sharp, they slice through flesh like hot knife through butter. Piercing lungs and heart of the young fox, it probably didn't live more then a half a minute after being snatched.
I sadly lost a kitten like that by a Forest Owl.

Sounds like you can hear the fox crying when the adolescent grabs it, then it looked to have escaped and when the parent grabs it you can see it moving until it holds it down. Maybe I'm wrong but this is what i got from the video
