Let's talk about face primers. Why do we need them and which ones are best? I have tested out several and I wanted to share my thoughts with you. Some of them might seem similar but they have a slight differences that I think is important to mention.

This is a very interesting and informative topic! Good job Allison with sharing such useful information! Each primer has its own purpose, something that I wasn’t quite aware of it. I like that you explain each one in detail so we know exactly what is suitable for any skin type! I recently bought the new Chanel primer. It’s hydrating and I love it!
I’m interested now to try the Sisley that you mentioned, sounds different from the rest!

Nars has another underrated primer - the soft matte primer. As someone with slightly oily skin, I don't necessarily enjoy a super mattifying primer like hourglass because my makeup will drag and apply patchy. With nars soft matte primer, it blurs my imperfections slightly, holds and extends the longevity of my makeup and my skin still looks like skin.

Hello Allison. To many primers and only on face. I have two. But my favorite s the one from Sisley. Looovee it. Been using it for ever. Every now and then I grab de Guerlaine l’Or. have a great rest of the week. XO.

I absolutely love the Chanel Le base you showed. It really helps my makeup to look so perfect & makes my makeup last all day long. Absolutely can recommend this ❤ I have the Le mer one too which is luminizing & so nice too but my fave is the Chanel one ❤

For under foundation glow, the VB gold primer, is really lovely. Not overly emollient, sometimes I use it instead of moisturizer, sometimes on top, and it’s somehow great either way.
I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard great things.
Thanks Ally😊 I really appreciate how you went over this topic that more should be covering because a good primer can really make a huge difference in an overall look. I mostly just wear sunscreen a great primer, concealer and my eye and blush makeup these days. (And brows- because mine are sad little wimps😂
Ps- I recently picked up the Rituelle De Fille Thorn oil- at first I wasn’t sure but now- 😍I LOVE it!!! Ps- I agree about the CT Hollywood flawless filter too- I look so much better when I remember to use that one!

Since you have already convinced me to buy the NARS eye primer, with your expert descriptions and demonstrations I think I will start with the Cle de Peau Brightening primer. I already have the hydrating one and I find the extra hydration might be allowing my makeup to move and collect in my fine lines. Plus I need lots of blurring and don’t mind the white cast. Also, I have a sample of the Sisley Double Tenseur and I’m afraid I will love it even though my wallet may not! LOL 😂😂😂 Great video as usual!

Allison I am curious about the Chantecaille rose primer and the Chanel one… any thoughts if I had to pick one?! 😊
Ouf that's a tough question! I reviewed both of them side by side. Chanel is better for dry skin and Chantecaille is more blurring if you have skin texture issues.
I just got the tom ford matte primer and it is beautiful.....i also have the illuminating primer and it great 2!!!! Im very happy with both but I think you should try the illuminating primer since you like a radiant look ❤❤❤❤❤

Love this comparison on primers and the fact that you are being so extra! I am going to try the new Charlotte Tilbury primer with SPF 50 in it, I think it’s called Invisible UV Flawless primer

I’m very intrigued by the Dior dream skin. I currently use Bobbi Brown Face Base and a wonderful L’Oréal product (Infallible Matte Lock), but as you said there are seven days in a week - why not try more?

Hi Allison , i heard about Sisley primer, i definitely getting that one. I never knew about Cle de peau one. That sounds amazing. Can i use them both together? I also need Chantecaille rosy one. I definitely can wear this one instead of foundation🤔 which one you like better cle de peau or Chantecaille rosy glow? Thank you and have a blessed day🙏🧡
Hi dear! Yes you definitely can wear more than one at once, I would say that Chantecaille offers more blurring texture and Clé de Peau is more brightening.
Which primer would u recommer for large pores?
I think the Dior primer would be best for enlarged pores.

what do you think gives more moisture for very dry skin and dewy effect chanel or nars?
For very dry skin, definitely the Chanel primer.
@@AllisonChase thank you! right now i’m using giorgio armani which is in a white bottle with spf and this is amazing for my dry skin, it’s not just shiny but great moisture . next will definitely try the chanel 😍
