So grab your gloves, folks, because I’m about to show you the one full-proof method for zapping stubborn stains, eliminating icky odors, and getting your mattress looking (and feeling!) fresh again.
To show you how to use the method, I’m going to demonstrate on a mattress I’ve dirtied up with dirt, coffee, sweat, fruit punch, and food stains that have set for days. I’ll also be answering questions about blood, mold, urine, and more!
Why Is It Important To Clean My Mattress?
Even if your mattress doesn’t look dirty, it’s important to note that dust mites, bacteria, and musty odors are bound to build up over time. And beyond that, snoozing on a clean, fresh-smelling mattress can actually help you get better Zzz’s, too.

This was amazing. I had an incident happen with an expensive mattress with a removable cover, but even taking it to dry cleaners did not work. I wish I had known this. Am going to write it all down, like a recipe and put with my essential oil files, so I do not have to hunt for it. It is awesome being able to use healthy things in your home to clean, and not chemicals. One cannot go wrong with Water, Baking Soda, Vinegar, and clear liquid detergent. ( using a natural one)... Thank you for this!

Wow. Finally a solution that actually works! I have a badly stained mattress and even though it has a cover, I was nervous about removing the cover as I doubt I could get it back on so I decided to try these steps instead though I was not expecting much. I took before and after pictures and WOW I am blown away by the difference. It made a great job of the mattress. There are some slight stains remaining but they are much much fainter than before and I am thrilled with the results. Thank you Sleepopolis

I tried this, and it sort of worked. The stains slightly faded, but not as much as the video showed (I think because my stains are older)
One thing I would like to say about this is the process pulls out the smells of anything that’s been on the bed. So if your trying to clean out pee, get ready for the mattress to smell like pee. I’m going to try and air out the room and put some essential oils on it to try and get rid of the smell.
But I do feel like this is a good way to get the mattress clean. I just might do some extra cleaning after the process is done

Start EVERY new mattress with mattress pad or mattress topper from $15 to $40 if you shop around). Every two or three months throw it in the wash with bleach, detergent and fabric softener (use the one for baby clothes if you want to sleep like a baby). Replace with a new one every 12 to 18 months. Your mattress will not be getting any stains.

Hiya I have a couple of questions regarding the additional tip, mentioned from 4.20
    1. If it’s suitable for blood/ urine, would it be suitable for tea stains?
    2. Would I use this method in addition to the main method? Say I wanted to clean my entire mattress, but had additional tea stains which I wanted to give extra attention to, would I go over the whole mattress using the hydrogen peroxide / dish soap solution IN ADDITION TO applying the white vinegar/ water solution?
    3. And finally, if I were to go over tough stains with the vinegar/ water solution, how how long should I leave it to dry for? Would it be overnight?
    Thank you very much 😁
    Hope this made sense 😂

Okay I don't know if it's just my hormones or what it is or if I'm just weird, but I cannot do mattress protectors. I will wake up in the middle of the night and my head is soaked and the common denominator is because of the mattress protector I'm fine once I get rid of that. Anyone else have this problem? That being said I have 3 pets and my mattress is totally gross now.

I had purchased new foam mattress. Ugh my little Yorkies got mad because we left them at home snd the peed right in the center of it. I was so mad at her. Worst of all I had just washed all the mattress covers and pad. Stupid for not getting the water proof mattress cover in the first place. Ugh. Love my dogs but wasnt very happy ;(. Lesson learned.

I followed the instructions but the smell of baking soda and the solution is not going away. I put the mattress outside, but still it's not fading.
    What am I missing here?

    I don't have a mattress. I do have a bed, nor have I in years. I sleep on a chair on on the floor. I also don't have a bedroom. ,10-5-2022 @ 10:38PM, EST.

So basically, just keep sprinkling your mattress with baking soda and then vacuuming that up over and over and over into eternity as if you are trapped in a time warp.
