Perfect!! I appreciate your video!! I did alter the method for a urine stain. I blotted it as well as possible and applied peroxide only. I allowed it to stand on the fresh stain for a minute or so then blotted it again with a different clean white towel to remove the mixture. I applied this method twice and it came out perfectly. No yellow stain and no odors. So happy!! Thank you for the information!!

I like to sleep on the mattress cover without any fitted sheets as i feel like anything other than the actual cover changes the overall feel of the mattress. But it sucks that most mattresses out there don’t have machine washable covers. I like to spot clean it at least once every 2 weeks from the sweat and this video was very informative and will definitely use some of these products and methods. Essential oils is always a good option. Great video👍

A waterproof mattress cover does not work! I had a mattress cover on my whole mattress and the cat peed on it since it was a very new mattress and the stain went right through! I did not know it would do that 😢

I hope you were able to find a solution, but I figure the issue is that when using an equal amount of dish soap, it will dry crusty and hard if it’s not rinsed out. If you steam clean the spot with hot water (no more soap!), it should soften it back up.

@@zxomb yeah I used peroxide, dish soap, baking soda, warm water, and oxi stain remover and maybe 1 more thing but I sprayed it on the spot and then I poured baking soda over it and let it dry and it absorbed it all
The recipe for remove sweat stains doesn't seem right to me. Equal parts: hydrogen peroxide, dish soap and water. That's an awful lot of dish soap. Is this right?
@@julianna4912 I would mix half dishwashing detergent half water and blot that into the stain to see if you can't get the rest up. Make sure to let it air dry before recovering with the sheet.
My mattress is so old it's not worth trying to remove all the stains. I have protectors on all the mattresses now. The baking soda thing and meat tenderizer is new to me! I just don't know where you're supposed to sleep while the mattress dries for 24 hours..lol!!
I dont have any stains atm but if I'm ever able to afford one I'll definitely be investing in a waterproof mattress pad. I've seen some really nice ones now that are still soft and comfortable which is a huge plus. I so appreciate the information as you just never know!!

A way to speed up the wait time is to place a clean. wet rag over the treated stain and iron it. The stain will be absorbed into the rag.
When do you place the wet rag? After you spray it or after you add the bi-carb soda? I am doing this now.
