Sounds good! All my trucks have had two horns, hi and low note. Since yours is like the LS model they may have skimped out on that. I used a relay and signal wire from the factory horn and added the early 90's style buick, cadillac train horns; 6 horns total. I tucked then away nicely, but two are down low facing down. It has been 7 years now driven through the monsoon rains in Phoenix and Albuquerque as well as flooded roads, and they still work. I guess as long as the water flows straight out it does not hurt them.

jewllake Ya I was surprised to see just the one horn. I really want a 90's Ferrari horn setup for my 350Z but they're huge and expensive. I might have to experiment and put 4 Hella horns in.

They all have 2 horns for 99-06 (and 07 classic). For 99-02 it is behind the drivers headlight, and passenger side it is behind the bumper under the blinker but easily accessible. For 03-06 they are a bit more cramped and harder to get to but in the same locations.

You stand corrected. I believe all 99'-2007 classic Silverados have two horns with the exception that the base LS pick-ups have one single note horn. But the same applies to the GMT800 SUVS. All of those have two horns in the exact same location.

GM put 4 note horns in A lot of older Cadillacs and Buicks. They are in sync with each other, and they kinda sound like a train horn.

When I was kid my dad had the electrical guy to install this fiam horns on all the vehicles he owned with the years, but I don't remember what can of capacitors or relays he use to increase the volume but was really loud just remember was.like 4 or 5 metal boxes with a bunch of wires connecting each other and that makes the horn really loud, I'm going to try the same way you did yours sounds really melodic. Hi Anthony, please list the two models you used. I want to upgrade mine like yours. I am not sure what to add. I want LOUD!! PIAA, HELLA or FIAMM, WOLO, or all four brands. You have an excellent set up! No tank to rust, No hoses to fail, No air solenoids to fail, No compressor to go bad. Your set up is definitely cost effective. The most I can see needing to add is a huge relay like in emergency services vehicles. I know I have a 75 AMP & a 150 AMP 12V continuous duty relays that I used on ham radios. I could trigger the relay with the factory OEM relay out wire.

I also thought GM put ONE horn in my 04 Tahoe, since that is the one I could get to from below behind the front right turn signal housing and that was what I was hearing: One horn.
Turns out there's another one behind the front left turn signal housing, but you can't get to it from below because it is covered by the windshield washer reservoir and it's bracket from below/behind, which in turn is under the battery and and battery deck. You can see it if you take out the left headlight housing and the turn signal housing.

The horn on the driver side of my truck is located higher up behind the clearance light panel. I simply remove the pins of the headlamp unit then unsnap the clearance light unit so I can see it. Barely can reach a hand in with a 10mm wrench to loosen the bolt holding it.
