.Both of their abilities e presences are associated with a purple aura
.The protagonists that end up being their main enemies are based off Mario characters and aren't really good guys despite defeating them (Waluigi for Iris and the SMG4 crew for SMG4 Waluigi)
.Both have a ancient object that unleashes their ultimate power once gained (Iris's eggplant and SMG4 Waluigi's staff of rejection)
