What do you think of the Rosentreter gambit? 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5 4. d4 What do you think of Rosens in general? Are they any good? I knew a guy named... Guy, Guy Rosen, he was good. (not at chess)
Thank you for the lesson again, another way of playing this wing gambit i see on another youtube video, but i like very much this variation also!I think Carlsen play this too with success! In his own way for sure magnus is magnus.
I love the Portsmouth, however there is one line I really struggle with that I don't think you covered- 3... Nxb4 4. c3 Nc6 5. d4 d5 Do you have any recommendations?
@@jamesmccabe3041 unfortunately no because they didn't take on d4 so my c3 pawn blocks the knight, if they were to take on d4 first in many cases it does transpose
Elephant gambit is good for offensive chess games but not all the players in my experience fall into this kind of traps so if you find a good player well prepared enjoy the run!But i play again and again this opening for black very often cause i like offensive chess games for sure i don't always win but this give somes very funny games!
Portsmouth... Change it to a weird voice in the video so they can hear that you replaced the word Portsmouth with Portsmith. Or ? vice versa ? Back to the real world: "The Portsmouth gambit is all about Billy and the Bad Boy, but C2 Albert when possible. " Dumb jungles help me. I call my B knight "the Bad Boy" and my G knight "The Good Boy". Queens love to kiss the Bad Boy and Kings shy from kissing the Good Boy. Beginners move the Good Boy first. Billy is the B pawn and Albert the A.
Your Portsmouth Gambit videos are always my favorite ones
thanks for rhe video! had a great portsmouth smothered mate of my own today!

Don't you just take the d5 pawn and they takeback with the queen and the lines are pretty similar?

@@bananapppuputrade on d5 and then Na3 is a nice move there with Nb5 and Bc4 ideas. Reminiscent of the alapin
I had a game in your main line but after Qxc3 Bd2 I premoved d5 for some reason but my opponent played Qa5 instead of Qa3 and I ended up losing 😭
Total noob is my favorite caste member
No one accepts the gambit when I play it 😡
Paid actor! 😂
Hikaru and Levy ranked the Elephant Gambit as Total Trash. Thoughts?
