Who else remembers Planet of the Drapes? Sandy on vocals with Pete on bass, a perfect combo. Saw them at Caister, The Royalty, Adam & Eve etc; Rockabilly at its best.

@@a19swine thanks for the comment, am the same as you, I spent my teens rockin' all over London mainly West/South tho but the Adam & Eve in Hackney was one of the best. Now the hair's thinner, the waistline bigger but I still love the scene even at 59yrs. If you haven't seen it, you should check out the film 'Blue Suede Shoes'; it shows Caister '79 with a classic Flying Saucers set + Cavan, Bill Haley, Ray Campi etc. There's also a great 50's Flash tribute montage online with some rare gems (50's Flash DJ Tribute 2). Just a thought; did you ever frequent The Tower PH near Lambeth North? I remember a Ted named Peter; am sure we must have shared a pint or three there or at the Duke of Clarence; those deffo were the best of times that's for sure.

The band plays this song an went out with the audience to street while playing, only sax, Bass and Drums with Sandy. They climbed up his Tour-Van and played the whole Song on the Top of the Van. Outside the Whole Audience was dancing on the Street. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
