Francis, I passed my test this morning in chertsey. Your videos helped enormously with all parts of the test. Your digestible content is just what I needed these last few weeks. Thankyou !
Passed at Tolworth today thanks to you. If all instructors were like you, the most upbeat and positive instructor on UA-cam, the roads would be so happy and safe! One of my minors was for flashing someone to let them turn (Signals - Correctly). Never knew this was fault-worthy as it contravenes the highway code. It could be useful to do a video on what habits learners typically pick up when they learn primarily from friends and family and watching the behaviour of other cars. Choosing not to drive in the bus lane as a habit (even when times permit) seems common as well.
FRANCIS! Ah bro, I just passed my test at Bromley , first time with 1 minor. You have been instrumental in helping me get this pass and I want to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. ❤
Congratssss❤️I had a test today and unfortunately failed 1st time but the examiner said I'm a good driver, I just made one serious mistake. I was following the Tom Tom and emerging from the slip road and weirdly for the first time I thought the Tom Tom was showing for me to go in the middle lane so I crossed to the middle lane and WENT OVER A SOLID LINE (I never usually do) because I know ur meant to stay in the left lane😂must've just panicked in the moment. I'm gutted but it was a lesson at the same time, buzzing for the next test and I'm ready ASAP. The test was so easy in general though, not what I expected
@@tr1912This is why you rely more on signage and road markings than on the Satnav! Hope you pass on your second attempt; sounds like you're more than capable.
Hey, just wanted to say thank you for doing these videos, because Im lowkey nervous since driving test is in a month and my independent instructor is unsure if I'm ready even though I'm capable of driving on roads, traffic light, roundabouts, junctions and using hazard drills safely, the few only mistakes I'm making is trying to have more consistent correct positioning for certain moment and executing my plan a lot more smoothly! I managed to make progress on keeping upto speed but is there any tips you could give for driving in my situation?
It's so relatable. All my lessons were in a SUV so my size 13 feet found it fine. One lesson he showed up in a BMW and my feet kept catching the top of the foot well so it was very sketchy. Sometimes I'd be going for the brake but it'd just be pressing the top of the foot well. My car that I got is a little bitty fiat seicento, so my legs don't fit underneath the wheel, and the wheel isn't adjustable either😭. At least it has a massive foot well, but the steering wheel means I can't get my foot in a position to heel toe, which is a shame
if you like or need a small car, get a Volkswagen up! they are so comfy, well made, easy to drive with lost of room for the driver, a friend of mine have one. or do as I did, get a Qashqai.
Someone that probably knows how to reverse i like that he looked out the rear window. Unless you are in a van or a lorry you should look out the back window
As a experienced driver for almost 14 years I'm so glad I don't live in London if this is the location some of the roads look a nightmare and some of road markings look confusing If i took my test in London probably fail .
I failed today sadly, at Belvedere first time. Went much better than I expected ngl, buzzing for the retake and I'm so confident, just one silly mistake proved to be costly for me
I passed my first test on the 31st w/ zero minors, and your channel, including others, have been a MASSIVE help over the course of my driving lessons. Thank you. 💙
This was one of my favourite driving videos. I was a bit confused about the roundabout, I would have done the same as him. What was the serious fault for?
@@DrivingSchoolTVI saw that the person in the red car (at his right) went first, and then he proceeded, so I am also confused why the priority was wrong. Thank you very much for your videos!
@@DrivingSchoolTVI saw the video again, and you said that the red car was signaling left, so he could have gone without stopping... I didn't know that was a serious fault 😮. Is it a fault because it creates confusion for the other drivers? Thanks
No mate, restricted parking zones, have a look on page 63 of the online version of ‘know your traffic signs’, it’s not very clear, it doesn’t say if some parking spaces are for permit holders only and other parking spaces are for general use, controlled parking zones on page 61 are very clear, it says “some parking places may be for permit holders only, others for general use”, I was just wondering if it’s the same in restricted parking zones?
@@WayneTulip-zm9gw I've read up on it and they both sound very similar. CPZ will be a zone where you can expect all the parking spaces and yellow lines to follow the sign on the zone you've entered. If the sign on the parking space says different then that will have precedence. RPZ is the same except there might not be yellow lines but the notice on the RPZ still applies. I would assume though that if a sign within that zone says different then that would take precedence. If that's not the case it would be easy to argue with the traffic adjudicator for inconsistent or misleading signage.
Thank you very much for having a look for me, I really appreciate it! 🙃 So, would you say that in both controlled parking zones and in restricted parking zones some parking places may be for permit holders only and some parking places will be for general use?
The car was going left and was going to the right. So we will not cross paths at any time. So, by stopping, I hold traffic behind me with no reason. So everyone was affected by my decision! In the real test, if you made a car, reduce the speed or stop. it is an automatic fail.
Have my test on Thursday in worthing! Only driven around there twice so im absolutely BRICKING it. If anyone has any tips or advice, please let me know asap 😅 i NEED to pass my test so i can go shopping without my other half nagging me 20 minutes in!! 🫠
Of course he passed! Brilliant driver 🎉 well done Ademir 👏🏻
Really good drive and fantastic attitude towards driving. Confident, smooth and good awareness. Deserved to pass.

@ademirloco4fish654 I got a seicento partly due to insurance. No blackbox, £800. Tiny 1.1L engine and it being a 24yrold car made it valid af

Hi Francis, can you park in a restricted parking zone without a permit?
Hey wayne! What do you mean by a restricted zone? Like a CPZ - controlled parking zone?

@ I would say the safe thing to do would be assume all bays will follow the times on the sign. Outside those times anyone can park anywhere
Can anyone explain why he got a serious for the mini roundabout, the red car had left the roundabout by the time he entered.
He could’ve gone at any point and showed he didn’t understand the roundabouts priority
The car was going left and was going to the right. So we will not cross paths at any time.
So, by stopping, I hold traffic behind me with no reason. So everyone was affected by my decision! In the real test, if you made a car, reduce the speed or stop. it is an automatic fail.
