Sezzy, when you get married you can just start using your partners name as urs but then you need to take/send a copy of your marriage certificate signed by a JP to change your bank, Medicare card, licence etc -if you look up Births Deaths and Marriages for your state there should be a doc that you can download with what you’ll need to change and how ☺️🥂

I am a mom of almost 3 and really relate to chaotic cooking with kids. I try to incorporate montessori principles into our daily life which means lots of helpers in the kitchen. It is always crazy and it is always messy but it does get easier. You are building the skills and love for good food that will make him so successful later in life. Don't give up! The effort is worth it even if it feels like a struggle. You are a great mom. One thing I have learned is yo set the expectations low for outcomes and allow my littles the option to help in a developmentally appropriate ways. If Fox has a great time pouring, set him up with pouring from a small pitcher or spouted measuring cup (pouring is a very popular montessori activity and is great work for his age!). My rule is that if it can't be spilled (like only having a very exact amount for a recipe), then I pour it. I cannot stand doing dishes but adore cooking!!

I absolutely loved this video and how #mumlife it was! You have no idea (well maybe you do 😂) how much these sort of videos help all of us mums feel normal! And I’ve been a mum for 10 years! I also have a toddler and it never gets old to seeing similar moments!
I literally use minimal dishes for cooking as I hate washing up. Then there is my partner who is a chef, who will use about 50 spoons, 5 pot 4 pan the list goes on for one meal and every bloody bench. Which I have to clean 😂😭

Hi Sarah, you probably won't see this, but how Fox is behaving when you ask him to help is sooooooo normal. I hope this doesn't discourage you from continuing to ask him to help. Changing your expectations, knowing that when Fox "helps" it will probably be messy and won't go smoothly, will help you not feel down if things don't go how you hope they would. But your reactions to his help, perfect from what I saw. You accepted it, said thank you, and when he was done being interested, you let him move on. Keep it up, as he gets older and practices helping out more, it will get easier.
Changing your name in Australia is an ongoing process. But u have to wait till the marriage licence comes in the mail. Then go to the transport department for your car licence then everything else. But I know people after 20 years still haven’t changed everything
