Dude, you don't know what your looking at if you honestly believe Ruhl "should've beaten Jay" or "been Mr. O several times". While he has a few large body parts, he's no where near conditioned as Jay and his legs, and more so, his back, aren't even close. Go thru this video and look at the back shots of Jay alongside Ruhl. Than look at their legs. Jay absolutely crushes Ruhl. Jay is complete. Nothing lacking. Ruhl lacks symmetry and has several weak body parts, besides lacking conditioning.

I remember how many people were so geared up to make bodybuilding mainstream during the 90s and early 2000’s. But looking back on this and other videos like it, that was such a pipe dream. 😂 This was the age of the absolute freak. None of these physiques were “pretty,” but they absolutely were shocking, mind blowing, crazy, and phenomenal to watch. I had to pause when Ruhl flexed his tricep...that was nuts! And he wasn’t known for his triceps!
Today bodybuilding are more mainstream, but the physiques are worst. Classic Physique and men's physique improve the popularity of bodybuilding too.
They used to use deca, test, and dianobol, now whothefuck knows all the different shit they use.

I watched Rhul and Coleman go head to head at the British Grand Prix in 2003 or 2004 can’t quite remember which year it was. Rhul and Coleman were enormous. Coleman was not out muscled and looked more balanced. Rhul upper body was huge especially his traps and shoulders. TBH I was most impressed with Chris Cormier on the day. He had perfect symmetry and a great posing routine. Not sure why he has been forgotten as the years have rolled on. Great show I think it was the last British open, event was held just after the Olympia. It was the year Ronnie put on about 40 pounds of muscle to blow everyone away. His legs were twice the size of anyone. The completion was at the Wembley Conference centre does anyone else remember this amazing competition?

His legs really let him down here along with a lack of separation in the upper back. But on upper body size he's utterly ridiculous. Dwarfing definitely did occur.
Apart from having legs a tad smaller in reference to his competitors, Ruhl looked more conditioned and full than both Ronnie and Jay. His chest separation was phenomenal similar to Franco Colombo’s.

Unfortunately some of these bodybuilders from other countries will never win a mr. O not because they're not good enough but because they don't fit the ifbb politics. They still compete because the mr olympia contest gives them a lot of exposure and help them land contracts and sponsorships.

@@patricioansaldi8021 There are definitely some politics in bodybuilding or at least outcomes that don't make any sense. When we say that a bodybuilder won because of the politics, that means that he obviously didn't deserve it but he was granted the win because of various reasons : he's friends with the judges, somebody was paid off, the person who deserved the win is disliked by the judges (outspoken personality, being open about steroid use...), or even when a bodybuilder who deserves the win has some legal problems. Most famous cases of bodybuilding "politics" are: 1980 Olympia, 1981 Olympia, 1997 Olympia and 2007 Olympia. I would also add the 2010 Olympia when Phil somehow lost to Jay. 2018 Olympia is somewhere in the middle, that's the contest that wasn't judged standardly it seems, I guess the judges wanted to send out the message about distended midsections, that's why Phil lost even though he won more poses.

Ruhl upper body from the front isn't rivalled even today, he dwarf everyone from the front. Issue was his back double bicep was subpar.
Ronnies aesthetic is great. Jays Lat is really good. But tbh Markus is the clear winner. He had the best Poses, best shoulders, chest, arms and legs.

Man hat meist nur den Vergleich zu cuttler und da war Markus eindeutig besser was die Schultern und Bizeps sowieso angeht. Selbst der rücken sogar besser aus als von coleman und das soll was heißen. Ich hätte Markus den ersten oder zweiten Platz gegeben
