Melinder was doing this in CS:GO and had insane wr/cp times and then brought the technique to CSS imo. You definitely start picking up speed sooner when c-tapping before entering some(most??) ramps though.. Lets re-watch surf_rez by synki.. s1 ramp 2 is entered (and left?) doing something. s2 ramp 2 looks almost as if he c-tapped leaving, ramp 3 & 4 clearly entering. S3 looks as if he drops faster hitting ctap before spin box. s4 looks like it's everywhere. s5 after last ramp you see him clearly spam ctap seemingly for fun... lol!!! I've tried spamming it all the time myself but I lose speed occasionally.
cory allen yeah though so, I’ve been doing it in 1.6 since 2014. Everyones surprised since they dont understand how it works. I usually used it for going onto higher ramps which meant i wasted less speed when up there. Also for entering ramps correctly if im off a little. Didnt know it could be transferred to css surf, especially 66 tick
crouch tapping, ive called it uncrouching for a while. Its where your model uncrouches but the surf is closer to you than your feet can extend. its good because you can get closer to the ramp and not be classed as crouching when you surf it (crouching decreases air accell). closer to the ramp has lots of benefits, especially crossing spines and surfing lower.

I don't think anyone would get that mad about a wrcp compilation having some that were beaten, wth the amount of time it would take to make the video, not like it takes anything away from it

wonton soup I stated in desc 1 or 2 stages beaten, its not easy to remove a stage from middle of the video, it kinda fucks up eveything :/
