I think you should defenetly get the deli for exp. you can get the cheapest exp per sfl there and the shroom syrup gives you 13k exp for 20 honey.

I'm having a hard time making coins to buy axes and pick axes and block buck to restock
If you are new then it has become difficult. I would suggest to do some of the sunflower tasks to get more coins. Open the book on the bottom left of the screen and see what deliveries you can complete. Try to do the ones that are vegie and fruit deliveries. Avoid any resources deliveries like wood and stone.
Block Bucks, you have to purchase with Matic in order to restock the store or expand the island. Don't spend too much on it because it will take forever for you to get any return back unless you are enjoying the game then purchases are up to you.
