Question; if the nemesis star and our sun orbit around one another and this causes a wobble in the orbit of our sun as depicted in the animation, then wouldn't it be easy to calculate the position of nemesis based on the wobble?

I was under the impression gravity was an attractive "force" not repulsive. he neglected to explain why the gravity wouldn't attract these asteroids to it, and drag them off with it!
Just like magnets some are strong some are weak. Gravity works the same. It depends on the objects electromagnetic potential just like magnets. A small magnet can be strong magnetically or weak magnetically.
Perhaps instead of attracting, it is repelling. A magnet also repels if (2 north poles face each other). Perhaps this star is similar to the north pole of a magnet.....and so are the asteroids, hence repelling....
I am replying to a two years old comment but people like me might stumble upon this and be fooled.
In space, speed is important. It's for this reason planets orbit a star: a planet is subject to two "forces" being gravity from the star and the tangent acceleration, usually almost perpendicular to the direction of the star's gravitational attraction. With both "motions" added up it causes the planet to go in circles around the star because the planet's horizontal speed is also acted upon by the vertical attraction towards the star, so over time this "drift" creates the movement of an orbit. In space everything moves in circular or elliptical trajectories and it mostly depends on the interaction between speed and gravitational forces. This doesn't just apply to planets but every object in existence, including distant comets in the Oort Cloud: they do orbit the Sun.
Let's say Nemesis smashes through the Oort Cloud on one of its passages. It will attract many of those comets but let's take comets that are specifically in a counter-clockwise orbit around the Sun, and assume Nemesis also has a counter-clockwise orbit. If a comet is "behind" Nemesis as it got close, it will get closer and accelerate due to Nemesis' gravitational attraction. This change of speed increases the orbit's eccentricity outwards, and could even fling the comet out of the solar system, because more speed allows you to fight more against the force of your parent object's gravity (hence why rockets can leave the Earth but not airplanes). If the comet is "in front" of Nemesis as it got close, it will be pulled back in its orbit and slow down due to Nemesis' gravitational attraction. Slowing down increases the orbit's eccentricity inwards, which could send the comet deep into the inner Solar System and thus collide with Earth. An object like Nemesis would have sufficient mass to deviate the orbit of comets, but not enough to completely rip them from the Sun's influence, due to how much speed they would need to lose to be solely captured by Nemesis, and for an object that can be as big as Rhode Island and traveling at neck-breaking speeds out there, that is pretty much impossible to achieve with any natural objects' gravity.

The sun's binary companion star is literally a DARK star. It can only be seen in the infrared spectrum. That's why we haven't been able to find it thus far. Maybe the WISE survey will be the first to (finally) see our dark star!
The dark star won't be seen and it's not the problem, the problem is the outer most planet orbiting that dark star, that's what's gonna destroy Earth, the outter planet and the inner planet appeared in the sky in 2015, it's coming from the southern hemisphere

Wait a moment, I think ive found a flaw in this proposal! So, say Nemesis is real and has been causing an extinction event every 27 million years. This would mean that there should have been 2 great extinction events between 65 mya and Now. But from what I know of, theres been only one extinction event between 65 mya and now and that was the most recent Ice age (I'm not sure for certain that the recent Ice age was an extinction event)
