I have used actual sand paper in works or used sand mixed with medium or varnish or gesso. Rubbing alcohol to create a splattered or splash technique. Let paint drippings dry on plastic drop cloth, peal off when dry and use as part of a painting or as texture. Of course, there is impasto paint and dry brushing. Thanks for the awesome brush and plastic wrap techniques

I've never incorporated texture into my paintings until I came across your channel. Now I'm incorporating texture in almost all of my paintings and i love it! I use the wax paper technique lately and it's so easy and it gives such a great texture for painting cliffs for rocks. Thank you!

Every technique was new to me. I am redoing my downstairs color theme and plan to create original art for the walls. This video was extremely helpful. The use of the modeling paste to create focal points is going to be very interesting to experiment with. 🎨

Wow thank you for sharing this! I didn’t know about the plastic wrap drying texture. That gave it such a stunning textile texture to the paint. I’ve also tried eggshellls and fruit nets to create some unusual designs and textures perfect for industrial style paintings.
All of the techniques are new to me. I love the colours you use in the plastic wrap finish. Love the blues and pink blends. Also the gold framing you have chosen is awesome for these gorgeous works of art. I definitely will have a go at this. Thank you.

Nice video- several of the pieces you showed really stand out to me! I particularly really love that one that’s all magentas, yellows, greens, etc., like the iridescent ripples in a layer of oil or gasoline on water, or a holographic foil. Very well executed. It would be helpful for you to mention, in cases where you’re laying down plastic wrap or tin foil or something, & then waiting for some period, & then peeling it off, how long you leave it for before peeling it (this is also true for any step that has a certain time that needs to elapse before the next step). Because the effect you get & whether it works or not definitely depends on the state of dryness of the material when you move on to the next step. For example I know from experience that if you peel the plastic wrap off too soon, it will completely deform the molding paste & you’ll lose any texturing it was impressing upon it.

Great video, very inspiring! ✨I have a question about modelling paste. The one I have at home is some sort of gesso but it’s viscosity is much lower and therefore much harder to control. Can I just add beach sand to it or do you have something else to recommend? Thanks ❤
Thank you Yes, beach sand will work. Alternatively, a hardener can be added to be modeling paste, but since I have never used it, I can’t say anything about it.
