As a music fan, it was very interesting to see all the work that goes into producing a show. Your job sounds very demanding, and also rewarding. 🇬🇧
Great Series!
Thank you! Enjoyed your very informative video!
I work in events and catering to dietary restrictions is the most stressful part of my job. I hate it so much. But you can't avoid it.
Fantastic mini series that gets the point , no fluff , exactly what you need to train new hires, including the proper chain of command so everyone knows who to talk to about what and we all can do our jobs more effectively and smoothly (: (:
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
I love your videos so much Andrea
Glad you enjoy them!
Really appreciate these videos as an Independent Artist
Glad you are enjoying then
Thank you I am really enjoying this series and very informative. I am beginning my own record label in UK and this information is very useful for the touring side when trying to build a tour team.
I am really glad you enjoyed the series. Let us know if you have any questions
This was VERY helpful. Thank you!!!
Glad that you enjoyed it
Must take a special personality type to do this job and do it well. Tons of work, responsibility and little to no notice/credit when it goes flawlessly, and all the s@#t when ANYTHING goes wrong.
Sounds like you guys don't get any sleep!!! I alwayss thought you guys made 100k average. But in Google I find that it's much lower than that. So tour manager just a stepping stone to something else
Yes, not a lot of sleep while on tour. Pay can vary greatly depending on the band, management company, and other factories
I want to ask her how rare it is to cancel a show 4 days prior to a show that for all intents and purposes would have gone ahead exactly the same back in March.
Greta Van Fleet have just done that.
This is not Andrea commenting, but it is not common for shows to cancel but it does happen for extenuating circumstances. On bigger tours like the ones Andrea works on, there definitely has to be a significant reason to cancel (For example the COVID-19 Pandemic). For smaller shows like an average working musician would have, it can be more common, but definitely not desired and shouldn't happen often, whether it is the venue or the musician.
If you are a musician/artist, you definitely want to avoid canceling shows unless it is absolutely necessary. A big part of being successful is your reputation and things like that can carry with you.
