Thank you for this tutorial. I have made many of these sets of letters using regular batting and scraps. Kids adore them and teachers love them for their classrooms.

She doesn’t have an actual pattern for the letters, but she gives you suggestions for templates, or making letters using your word processor or PowerPoint.. You can also get stencils at a store. If you click the last link, which takes you to her blog, my iPad shows a menu bar across the top. Click on “tutorials,” then scroll to where it says “quilted letters tutorial.” Instructions are there. The pictures of her kids are adorable!😊
These are so cute! I think I'll use flannel for the back. Then make a little flannel board for grandbabies to play with. Looks like there isn't a print out for the letters and you'll need to make your own. Have been through MSQC and Laura's blog.
There is no link to the supplies, such as the letters pdf, just a link to MSQC website where, you search for the materials one at a time - disappointing. Enjoy seeing these creative kid projects, Laura does a great job.
When you look at the video, go to the right of the title.... there is a little down arrow... click that.... there is the printable with the letters....
To get to the letters, click on the last link, that takes you to her blog, then click on the 3 bars at the middle right, then click tutorials. Easy as Pi. Lol!
Is a walking foot best for this method of sewing? I plan on making these for my new grandbaby coming in January to put away until they are ready to learn colors, letters and numbers, I am making a learning box for the new grandchild
What a fun idea, Wanda! I did not use a walking foot when I made these. I tried them on a few different machines, and all stitched up fine with the regular foot when I used the foam. You could definitely use a walking foot though if you wanted!

Frustrating when the GREAT tutorial says there is a link to a template of the letters, only to discover that there is no link! Many of the comments I saw below are from others trying everything to find the link to the letter templates....
Don’t see the download for the letters. Would love to make these but not being computer savvy a PDF download with the letter pages woulda be sooo helpful.

I got to the blog but couldn't find the pattern. I'm not very good at websites.
Her blog gives suggestions on how to find letters and such or to go make them on WordArt. No template, unless I missed it.
