that bike/motor look in nice condition, as a brit, our old bsa`s seem a lot more abused! my A65 is a fine example of make do and mend. my engine tab washers look like cauliflowers, the front brake cable was repaired with solder, the rear sprocket was way too thin for the chain, oil pipe manifold bolt was drilled oversize and broke through into the oilways, many stripped threads, grub screw on the gear shaft missing, haven`t split the cases yet!

@@stevec-b6214 that’s funny my 69 Thunderbolt had a interesting repair for the front brake cable it was at the ball for the lever someone went thru a lot of faber cobbling instead of buying a new cable. This bike I thought was more original with just different bars on it but after opening the engine its obviously been rebuilt once , twice or possibly three times. I suspect the cylinder is not original to the bike and none of that is an issue it will all get fixed here soon. My dad’s 67 lightning was in way worse of shape when he pulled it out of my uncle’s garage which it had sat in half assembled for two decades with a unstarted rebuilt engine. It a beautiful bike now only took two decades to get it there .
