Why everyone see @ America is the honesty integrity. In this whole episode what I see and adore the most is the milk deliveryman and the home owner when he is not there he keeps the door open and the this gentleman enters the home n he knows what he has to do and where he has to keep the things. One will not found such honest and secure place anywhere else. I am humbled and emotional. Thanks you..
But large companies like Blue Bell, Borden, Sealtest, etc., do not use a single dairy farm as the source for their milk. They use many dairy farms around the nation. Your "60,000 cows a day" are comprised of the cattle from many dairy farms; some large, some not so large. For example, a Mennonite dairy in South Georgia (below Macon, GA) is one of hundreds of dairy farms that sell their milk to Sealtest. A local farmer in North Georgia, near the Georgia-Tennessee state line, is one of many dairy farms that sells his milk to Borden. Another Mennonite dairy in East Tennessee is one of many dairy farms that sells its milk to Carnation. The Mennonite dairy cattle are fed some grain, but they also graze on grass in pastures. Likewise with dairy cattle of the farms that sell to Mayfield Dairy in East Tennessee. There are some mega-dairies, as I call them, that have thousands of cattle under very tight control, with little grazing; but there are many others who sell their milk to major dairy product producers (including the makers of Blue Bell Ice Cream) that graze their cattle. A cow that is lactating doesn't have to be rounded up from the field and herded to the milking barn. When her udder is full, she will come back to the barn to be milked. Cows also have a very good sense of timing and a good head for a structured lifestyle, such as grazing from sunup and going to the barn to be milked at a certain time in the afternoon or evening. Some have to be reminded, so the farmer will have to call them to the barn. Once familiar with the farmer's call, the cattle will answer the call by going back to the barn.
Why can't my neighborhood have a Milkman that delivers? I drink almost a gallon of milk a day sometimes only half but I'm constantly going out to buy just milk I would be there best customer!
Normally, when I deliver products, I just leave them at their doorstep or just give them to the customer, but regardless I always stay out of the customer's home.
My Request to you all and scientists and Farmers market to grow such biggest Farm in my State Odisha, Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Cuttack in Odisha state in India
This just followed several documentaries showing a real look at the dairy industry and I'm thoroughly mortified and will never eat an animal or what it gives, or rather, has had stolen, again! I will not support cruelty! The idea of a person drinking the milk of an animal is ridiculous! Milk is for babies! Let's be honest!
All of those animals come from only one sire. That's why they all look the same. They are all sisters. Artificial insemination is a huge part of farming in the U.S.. they try to tell you that it's all natural country and pastural lifestyle. In reality, it's a technological advanced industrial food factory. Those cows don't do much grazing. Most of their feed comes from corn and soy bean and not the best.
Contact the government, they will help foreigners start a business before they will a tax paying American. Over 75% of gas stations and convenience stores is owned by people from India. Good Luck!
