    The best video to know how to starting foil surfing! Thank you for sharing. I was wondering how to get into the waves, if was like a tradicional surfboard or not, and you show it how.
    Looking forward to see foil boards here in Santa Catarina, Brazil! Thanks bro!

    Nice one, yeah I m learning atm ,with the foil back in box there is tons of drag real tiring ,I find it alot easier having it forward plus i am only attempting small waves .

    This was useful. I have used an efoil. Will be using them efoil on the river and surf foil when I get to the sea.

    Great Video! Thanks for all the useful tips. Just starting out Ill be sure to apply them to my situation. Bummer, but I am crippled and will be riding my foil like a bogie board. Any advise would be appreciated. Mahalo C

    Sky, It has been too long I have been getting in tone to be a better surfer at 7o this December. I'd like to try foiling behind a jet ski this August in Bemidji MN.

    Some good teaching here. Thank you. Very informative. I will be on Lake Ontario at first, and the ocean eventually. I'm hoping that I can "surf" some of our small wind-driven waves!

    Hi, nice video.
    I just tried kite foiling, it's interesting. What should be first board and foil to enter surf foiling without any experience in pure surfing? For a bit heavy rider, 90kg ;)

    Any tips on how to get up behind a pwc or boat on a surf style foil board? My fanatic board has too much volume to wakeboard start bc it either flips backwards or drags the toe edge when getting up. I’m almost up now by laying down flatly my chest, then up on my knees, then soon on my feet

    • @FanaticBoardriding
      @FanaticBoardriding  3 роки тому

      Hi Oliver sorry for the delay - usually starting on the knees, same as wingfoiling - but it really depends on the size/volume of the board..when on knees, as in wingfoiling, you need to find the exact position to not make the tail go up/nose down...but I guess you tried all that already! :-) good luck!

      Knee then stand up worked well, especially when going in much slower speeds than last time. Thanks again, I now feel ready to start exploring the foiling magic

    Ok I just want to know is this good for freshwater lakes which has a lot of sea weeds.

    • @FanaticBoardriding
      @FanaticBoardriding  2 роки тому

      well for places with sea weed it can be tricky yes, so you may need to find another location?

    • @FanaticBoardriding
      @FanaticBoardriding  2 роки тому +1

      hi there, well the Sky Surf or Surf foiling boards, are not made for open water without waves - so either launching from the beach/Dock start, or in ocean swell or someone with a jets/boat or kiteboarder pulls you up onto the foil if there are no waves...

    • @FanaticBoardriding
      @FanaticBoardriding  2 роки тому +2

      Hi there, very unlikely to have contact with animals in the surf, on the open ocean you have a quite good view of what is below you/in front, so you can avoid pretty much everything. Certainly far better than most boats/watersport crafts.
