That Minimap change you mentioned with showing a general direction instead of red dots is probably the best alternative. Works very well in Titanfall 2 and it would be interesting to see in a game like this
Petition to remove SBMM: Edit: A mix would do it. No-one enjoys playing against sweat lords, just because you had one great round. This is especially bad for better players
Why is that bad? Are you upset because you want to play in a lobby where you could be 0-36 or 36-0. What would change for you if they turned SBMM off? I wouldn't sacrifice latency, but if the player base is large enough. What about ranked play and professional players?

MW2022 had a fricken crazy animation team. Detailed and high quality animations. They even updated the reload animation on the RPG because the animation wasn't realistic (even though 99% of players never knew the original reload animation wasn't accurate). Sad to see MW2023 doesn't do the same. In one of your previous videos you showed us that a completely empty shotgun had no inspect. Absolutely wouldn't happen with the MW2022 animation team. Say what you want about MW2022, but don't disrespect the animation team.
In the beta of MW2022, there were no empty inspects and the transparent Lachmann mags were really glitchy in the animations. IW animations are incredible but I'd say judge it when the game is released because MW2022 needed tweaking in beta

Feels a lot better but as of now the graphics are pretty blurry and not too amazing. I’m hoping for clarity to textures and all that. It seems like even the resolution isn’t displaying properly. When I play at 4k and 4k DLSS quality, they both seem kind of blurry
Turn off depth of field I'd say It looks really low quality, also idk if you use the texture streaming but I wish they let you pre download textures that don't look horrible
not sure what you're doing wrong there, am playing at 4k with everything set to high and it looks just as good as MW2 fidelity wise, and even better in terms of art direction
Battlefield 1 has the revealed enemies dont apear directly if theyre out of your minimap, they only apear as literal dots if theyre in the radious of your minimap
For the California "Law" part, I tried to look it up. I have no recollection of any bill that was passed about liscencing in games. The rare time someone did reference something, it was assembly bill 205 or something, but that pertains to the marketability of guns to minors. It has nothing to do with our courts specifically going after manufacturers. I'd only see this having a case if Activision was directly promoting it by lowering the PEGI/ ESRB rating. Nothing has changed. From what interviews that others have referenced, they've explained that even though the devs are just as confused as we are, they're still beholden to Activision's choice of getting the liscencing in the first place.
Most of the inspect animations are the exact same from the last game. I suspect they are placeholders for when the full game comes releases, as a lot of them don’t have empty reload animations like MW2 originally didn’t.
the deal with gun names is weird to pin down, but there are two main factors: 1. an old activision lawsuit with humvee iirc, they were mad their vehicles were in the game 2. california laws first one gained much media attention and is self explanatory, the second one is weird tldr of that law: no real gun names in this area which if you are thinking right, they could just make a california specific version with a single text file changed

In a game I play the enemy foot steps sound like they're stomping with 300 pounds of lead on them on a creaky floor board. And teammates sound like ballerinas.
The hitmarkers are so bad in this game. I start shootimg and get melted over and over. The sweating is BS. You don't hear footsteps. It's doesn't feels like a real cod.
to the names of the guns they have to get a license to use the actual name of that gun from the company that ownes that specific gun what costs money, so they add 1 or 2 officially named guns and the others have a custom name so they dont get a lawsuit
My only issue is that everything is fast besides killing people. You go from running around to jumping and staring at someone mag dumping just to get a kill. We are finally faster but having to slow down to aim and shoot just throws the pace off and doesn't feel right. Often getting killed while shooting or reloading. A shorter ttk and this movement would of been beautiful.
I honestly agree. Not saying TTK has to be super short, but honestly, shooting 5-10 bullets for a kill can be a bit annoying, especially when some of my headshots are counting as body shots. I find myself mag dumping a lot for a kill, and dying while reloading. And the respawns need major help as well lol. I kill someone just to have them spawn a few feet behind me.

The reason that games no longer use real gun names is because they have to pay extra money for that, and due to some California law regarding guns. Also, licensing issues probably also play a role.
What I want the most for full release is a reworked ui and hud for the game, and an option to turn off cosmetics for enemies and friendlies and replacing them with the base mil sim skins so you can also rely on visual to identify tragets instead of just relying on a red dot on screen (this will help a lot with visibility and target tracking as well especially with the longer ttk) and lastly sbmm being toned down just a notch

In regard to gun names: it’s just a combo of different things honestly. Licensing issues, California law stating you cannot advertise gun products to minors (even tho it’s a rated M game, go figure) plus gun manufacturers prolly don’t wanna release their gun names to game companies cuz then if a mass shooting happens, and depending on the gun used, these manufacturers can get sued. Just look at what happened with Remington. Mass shooting happened, a certain gun was used in the mass shooting, and they got sued for like $70 mil or sum like that.
SBMM won't be removed wether you like it or not because its like this system that they put most of their money into hence Activision is forcing every COD to have SBMM
The lack of real gun names makes the game feel overall cheap (a supposedly triple-A brand btw) and completely takes away any last shred of immersion the developers were trying to create. It's something so obvious that should have been fixed one way or another, Activision certainly has enough money to do this smh.
There was a glitch in the beta that showed mw2 guns in the kill feed like the mw2 m4 in the kill feed despite there being no m4 at all which ks bad cuz it's like vanguard there reusing assets from a game we already have and it's showing
People like to say the lighting is downgraded and sure.... kind of? I mean it definitely doesn't look as eye catching as MW19, but they had to compromise the lighting so the shadows aren't too dark. That was a huge issue in MW19/Warzone where people with Roze skins blend in too well. So you will notice MW22 had more cloudy maps or less direct sunlight so the shadows aren't as intense. It is clearly an intentional choice. I get it, it doesn't look as crisp. I think we need to accept that the IW engine isn't as advanced as we thought when it comes to lighting. They have improved it a bit with maps like La Casa which have strong sun light yet the visibility wasn't sacrificed.
I feel the 150 health might be a downgrade but thankfully they took away stims. Gunfights in BOCW were horribly inconsistent when people could stim behind cover twice and get a cop out nearly every gunfight.

The problem with it at least in other cod games since mw2019 is how harsh it is. For most people it feels like it puts you in with sweats and try hards when you slightly do good. Also it doesn’t prioritise connection.
Yea pretty much what the other dude said, do a lil better one game and next thing you know your going against some esports team, also since it’s finding people in your skill area, it will take you across the earth, so your ping would be destroyed
I don’t mind a challenge, but after 1 or 2 good games I get put in servers across the world with 200+ ping. So now I’m competing against ppl on my level that have a huge ping advantage. F*%k that.
Skill means K/D so if you have a better connection or anything you will be in harder lobbies. For people like me that depend 100% on skill and none on advantage I always end up playing against all the invincibles.

The problem with it at least in other cod games since mw2019 is how harsh it is. For most people it feels like it puts you in with sweats and try hards when you slightly do good. Also it doesn’t prioritise connection.
Yea pretty much what the other dude said, do a lil better one game and next thing you know your going against some esports team, also since it’s finding people in your skill area, it will take you across the earth, so your ping would be destroyed
I always get people with 10 times more skill.
I don’t mind a challenge, but after 1 or 2 good games I get put in servers across the world with 200+ ping. So now I’m competing against ppl on my level that have a huge ping advantage. F*%k that.
Skill means K/D so if you have a better connection or anything you will be in harder lobbies. For people like me that depend 100% on skill and none on advantage I always end up playing against all the invincibles.
the SBMM system ruins the game and keeps many players away from it. Its funny how everything is about cash, yet the biggest cash block for the game is the SBMM system thats supposed to make them money.
Id get every season pass and play for hours straight if the game wasnt manipulated to its core. What a shame

It's so weird that there's a new Glock in the game, like already had two in mw2 (x-12 and x-13) and weapons are supposedly gonna carry over, so uhhhhhh
The new glock is in a different caliber.
Its nothing to do with states or law when it comes to guns, call of duty are using real guns but giving them their own names in their universe for example kastov, ftac, so on so on
for our country that has bad connection speed game is frustrating i have to at least get 10 hit markers to kill someone with multiple headshots bullets don't register at all my Kd from 1.1 in mw2 dropped to 0.5 in beta so annoying
