You Have to wear GATERS REGARDLESS WHAT TIME OF YEAR

I find Highlands copperheads too quick, as aggressive and stand ground. Plus I have been told that they are 5th most venomous in the world. I am equally sceptic of both.

What snake gaitors do you guys recommend and use over there? I am a kiwi hunter who once while jogging kicked a brown snake a couple of metres and then jumped over it and sprinted away from it to tell the tale 🤦‍♂️ bloody lucky to be here

Honestly mate if your running into snakes, your walking too fast on your stalks. Yes they are there and we need to watch out for them, but I just wear normal gaitors, the chances of them biting through them are very limited. The snake gaitors are very dense and hot to wear. You only need gaitors when september comes around. The winters you are fine. Good luck.

@@solosambarhunter cheers for the info, I am more worried about bumping snakes charging through to new hunting territory when covering lots of ground in and out of areas.

Tiger snakes don't hibernate they brumate or go through brumation, a very low activity period over winter, we see them in Tas through winter at 850 - 1000 m so yes in Vic at 1600m I'd fully expect on the right type of day such as the one you had.

Really, I have also seen a tiger at 1350m grey with yellow stripes. High plains country. Unreal.
