About me: I am a Norwegian adventurer and wilderness explorer. My youtube channel focus on outdoor wilderness adventures and exploration, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Nights spent in a tent, alone or with friends. From the snow covered mountains and misty fjords of Norway and Scandinavia to the remote plateaus of Yellowstone and the debts of the red canyons of Utah to the summit of Mt Whitney and the heart of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. I love the Wilderness! Email is under "For business inquiries", for general questions please comment on a video, I try to answer everyone.

You are my backpacking hero, dude.
Lol Thanks Stephen:-)
It’s Sunday morning I’m in the spirit praising God and turn on Jarl and he’s looking at a mountain that is called the church LOL thank you Lord praise God keep up the good work Jarl this is a great one …thank you again 😇😎🤠
Lol, awesome, I should have climbed it but the weather was not playing along that day
Amazing your tent was able to withstand 63 mph winds. That company should pay you as testimony to the durability of its tents. The area you went to after was beautiful with the falls and vegetation.
It was quite intense for a while
Incredible,,nice,,best,of,thebest,,👍🏿👐👍🏿👐👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Thank you so much 😀
One word: yikes! No, a second word: Wow! But please NorX, now that I have been following your adventures I'm allowed to worry, so please stay safe and don't be down! I can't believe that little tent withstood that night of wind!
Its a great tent, and I did have a backup plan in case it should fail
It's an unspeakably beautiful planet...but...the north is such a jewel. 👍😎🇨🇦📷🌲💙💧💜🌏🌲
It really is!
Oh wow and hour, I will be back this evening to watch this one 👏🍻
Awesome Bulldog!
37:15 whoa ! taj mahal in the middle of nowhere !
good thing you have the hilleberg tent. its reputation speaks for itself !
Yeah it did well:-)
Hilleberg wind-tunnel testing complete! Awesome views.
Lol, yep indeed!
My kind of weather, unfortunately here in Africa it is scotching hot . Great video yet again. 👌
Thank you Mo, where in Africa are you watching from?

Hi Jarl (smiles & hug) Quite the beautiful valleys hike. Remember that saying in that "Forest Gump" Movie when Forest said, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get"?
Well, Jarl? U R like that "favorite" piece of chocolate in that box. Watching your video is like that same "discovery bite" feeling U have when U realize that "favorite" piece of chocolate is in your mouth.....
"Thank You Jarl" for sharing these awesome & enduring Adventures with us. (hug)
GOD BLESSES ALL.
Footnote: U R creating it ALL Jarl. RE-remember this TRUTH. Why the "lodge" was "full"?
U KNOW that answer.....
Thank you! Why was the lodge full?
Bummer about the room. I wouldnt go back there either, lol. The winds were extreme! You sharing your tent set up, meal and shoes status made it very personal. I loved that. Huge Valleys to trek. Amazing. Hopefully you had a quiet night in the end. Until next one...Thanks again sir!
Yes, the last night was very peaceful luckily. That was not my favorite day of backpacking I have ever had lol
Su pais es hermoso que paisajes tan coloridos felicidades
so beautiful there
It is, come and visit!
@@NorwegianXplorer I WISH I CAN
Back to Back, I love it
Lol, you got really lucky here Butch!!
👍❤️🙏 It ‘s so beautiful and interesting hiking. Awesome!
Yes, thank you!
The pace of foot travel through that immense wilderness is mesmerizing. Until you look up and the Church is blocking out a piece of the sky and you know you are going somewhere. Thanks.
Thanks Harry!
Great video! Looking forward to the next one, thanks🏕️
Thank you for coming along on the journey!
Lucky you had a good tent, hilleberg. Very inspiring, thanks for sharing 😉
Thanks for watching Anders!
Amazing early sunrises. You are the master hiker! I’d probably blow away in those crazy strong winds.
Enjoyed yet another great vid!
Thank you Susan:-)
You are a true survivor Jarl. Thank you for all you share,it’s gotten me through dark times. Happy Holidays from USA and all of Gods blessings in the new year 🙏
Thank you Allan, really appreciate this, hope you are doing well!
💥 Beautiful 4K goodness from the master himself. Thank you! 💥
Thank you Barclay, I wish I could have see it on a 75 inch screen too lol
@@NorwegianXplorer Amazing scene inside your tent in that crazy red-orange-purple light with you intently preparing your meal amidst the wind and rain outside, later peacefully reading your Kindle! Wow! 😀
That manager was not a good Samaritan, not doing the effort to look for a bed for an exhausted and soaked man who, after a scary night of tempest, has been hiking for hours in cold and rainy weather. So : no meal, no chocolate to cheer you up.... I feel sorry for you. - The scenery is great, majestic, overwhelming.... Pure nature without the presence of a single human, even not an animal had shown up. I love the sound, 'the song' of rustling water. It must be delicious to drink. In all your films, Jarl, we can feel your great love for your beautiful country Norway. Haven't you ever thought of speaking your own language Norsk in a film and giving English subtitles ? Thank you for the many efforts you do to let us participate !
Thank you!
Great video, really showcased the area! Nice to see I'm not the only one struggling sometimes😅
Thanks! 😁
Great trip! Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you, you too!
I know the weather was miserable for you, but it was GLORIOUS watching the rain sweep through the valley. The sound of it was so peaceful! I totally enjoyed every second of this video. I was fascinated to learn how you cook in a tent, or how you passed the time in it. You looked so comfy. Norway looks like the lovliest place on Earth. Never stop making these vids. I'm watching in virtual reality and it feels like really being there with you. Thank you so much for this! Greetings from Chicago. Liked and subbed!
Greetings and thank you🙏
Another excellent video Jarl! I know it's going to be a good day when I get those notifications. Loved the time-lapse tent set-up. Awesome. I laughed at "The backside of the glacier.......or the front side" lol That storm was gnarly! But your tent is a beast. There are trees that can't stand up to winds like that. I did feel bad for you towards the end of the video. I know it's all part of the experience though. Highs and lows. And congratulations btw! I saw your Instagram post about your win. Well deserved my friend! Thanks again for another wonderful adventure and for taking us along. :) ♥
Thank you Deborah, it was a trying day, but it is all part of it, I was happy with my campsite, very quit and serene for that last night.
Hey Jarl, I'm still with you on the summer hikes just not commenting. I think this is the first time I've seen you in low moral and you could see it in your face after no rooms available. Really nice camp site at the end. Happy Thanksgiving from the States. Cheer up brother!!
Hey thanks for the comment Rich, it was a rough day indeed, but it happens every now and then:-)
Must be some cold water in those lakes!
Oh yes, it is freezing, mostly from glaciers and snow melt.
@@NorwegianXplorer I'll beat it tastes good though.
Yes it does, very fresh and no need to filter
👍🏻😍
☺️
I am curious about the ground cover vegetation in those high valleys. I think I see some short alpine grasses, but mostly it looks like twiggy stuff. Heath or heather or something like that? And thanks for giving us a peek at those bluebells. They look like a kind of campanula.
There is a lot of moss and lichen covering the ground this far north, and rocks lol, lot of rocks
Great trip, but challenging! That Hilleberg is a beast. I see you still rock that Primus stove. I have the same one, but I usually carry a BRS2000 to save the weight. Thanks for the vid
Thank you, had some weather challenges yes, but all in all an incredible trip. Love the Primus!
I'm a Korean. You're so cool
Thank you!
Hello from 🇨🇦
Love the quality of your videos 👌 Do you ever run into bears that side of the pond? I hear Finland's got some big interior Bruins! Take care.
Thank you Canada, I havent run into bears over here in Scandinavia yet, but I am hoping to. We do have a very sad history when it comes to managing our bears and wolves in Norway, they are nearly extinct, but the Swedes on the other side of the border have been doing a whole lot better.🐻
Wonderful pictures and good to know that your Hilleberg can stand really strong winds. The lodges and some routes seem to be quite crowdy in the summer?!
Thank you, it is crowded around the lodges you can drive to, and this one was pretty crowded, It was a sunday in the middle of summer vacation. Norwegians in general dont venture far into the mountains anymore, they mostly do dayhikes and walk to mountain summits where they can return to their car or lodge the same day. I would say that 80% of the people that are really out in the mountains are from Germany. Norwegians have gotten lazy.🤷♂️
Hi question I just bought a nallo2 and I wondered do you use 9or 10mm poles thank you really enjoy your videos
Thank you! I use 9 mm poles
How did you deal with navitgation? did you find the trails easy to follow?
I plan my routes in advance, easy to follow the maps in here
Yep. Still catching up on these vids. Of course it was WONDERFUL !!! LOVE The Church ⛪️🏔️‼️ Church is special for me as is coz even though I Jewish I’m a Messianic Jew meaning I follow both the Torah n also believing n the death, burial n resurrection of Yeshua on the cross. I would love to sit at the edge of that mountain n worship.
Love ALL the water falls n lakes. I would b a drinkin fool if I were there. I drink coffee but the only other drink I have all day is water. N I bet all that water is the best n all the world.
By the way I repeat the names of these places when u say them. I sound like an idiot n I’m sure u would cringe 😬 But just sayin I do try.
Another winning video our friend. Just completely wonderful.
👍🙏⛺️🏔️🌨️☀️❤️‼️

Thank you TJ, the names are not for the faint at heart😂
@@NorwegianXplorer hahahahahaaaa. Rite ?!
Did you get cell network signal on the hike?
Not much no
@@NorwegianXplorer How did you power your device along the route? Did you take extra batteries or do the huts have a power source?
@@rafayetmonon8817 I brought a power bank
Hows the phone signal in the park?
No signal for the most part
