N I forgot to mention dat the cup is made of silicon which creates a vacuum effect once U put a little pressure when U place it around The Eye. U do not need to tilt ur head back ! Instead, stand straight n blink ur eyes a few times while they r submerged in the liquid ! As Long as U have dat vacuum effect, the liquid will not flow out. Do this over a wash basin to effectively remove the cup without making a mess.
I normally bend down over the basin while removing the cup ! N I’ve tried looking at the liquid after on a microscope....U will be surprise at all that’s come out !

Maybe it's become popular as a Japanese beauty product recently, but eye doctors have been recommending these to their patients for years actually. About two years ago, I suffered from a blocked gland in my eyelid due to makeup getting in behind my eyelid and my eye swelled shut. My eye doc had me go to the pharmacy and buy this eyeball wash along with an eyelid scrubber (had no idea these things even existed lolol). Now I keep it just in case. It usually just has a liquid that is balanced to natural human eyeball lubricant, kinda like eye drops. It's really good for your eyes. :)
Side note: I recommend the eyelid scrub! It's a pre-soaped up towelette that is perfectly safe if product gets in your eyes and doesn't sting. And it's perfect for removing EVERY TRACE of left over makeup from tight-lining, eyelash glue, and mascara. Probably more useful than the eyewash unless you get pinkeye or something lol.
Exactly this has been around for years, I've used the same type of eyewash (although prescribed by a doctor), after a problem with my contacts over 10 years ago :)
Yes i but i dont think everyone needs it. And its not like very special for normal people in everyday life. Regular eyedrops is enough to get gunk out of your eyes if its stuck but maybe in cases like yours its useful. I still think its a bit useless for day to day life

It's been existing as a third-class OTC drugs and being popular for years (at least over 10 years) since it was released in Japan. And Japanese don't think it a beauty product.
Similar products get pretty popular around spring and autumn in Japan when people suffer from seasonal allergies. In fact they sell eye washes specifically for getting rid of pollens on your eyeballs. Like you expressed, Tina, yes it could be really uncomfortable at first, but when you get used to it, it's so refreshing especially after a long day wearing makeup and contact lenses in a harsh environment such as sandy beach or where there is air pollution.

It's great for hayfever as well! Japanese eye drops and washes feel great. BUT, I do use Australian eye washes regularly coz I live here. They're much cheaper and do the job. There's no need to tip the head back either. Sometimes I do it a couple of times.

I've done this so many times , I always do it when my eyes hurt , and it really helps IMO

Optrex has a eye lotion, its slightly softer feel than lycee. Both are equally good too! I always put tissue under my eye while holding The Eye cap. It’s good for mono eyelid and people eye lids produces more oil glands.

Yes, you put it on before make up and take if off before taking your make up off. Believe me it hurts as hell when some make up get into your eyes while you still got your contact on!

I have done it both ways. It depends on how my eyes feel at the end of the day. If they are still comfortable I take my make-up off first. If they are driving me nuts I yank them out first. But I'm not sure why it really matters. If you put them in before make-up then you get make-up particles on the lens anyway. Maybe it is to keep the make-up remover off of the lens. But we wash our contacts too... So what does it matter? Honest question....

I have to wash my eyes on the regular because of allergies. Mine is a saline solution cleanser with a little cup. I also have some eyelid wipes. They really refresh tired eyes.

i love rohto! their contact safe drops are sooo good.
i started using eye washes last year and they're honestly life changing. makeup residue would always get in my eye and blur my vision and my eyes would feel really gross and dried out. eye washes completely remove the residue and make my eyes feel super comfortable.
i started out using japanese ones, but i found that they're sold in drug stores in the uk for a reasonable price. i hope i can find some when i return to the us~^^

I love to use that product! It works really nice to me especially when I wear contact lenses it’s so refreshing. You’re supposed to blink more and roll your eye ball more while you’re doing it. 👍🏻

It’s such a breath of fresh air seeing such a classy woman develop a classy brand, in the midst of all of the extra UA-camr brands (not necessarily bad, but it gets tiring)
A better way to remove your contacts if you have long nails is to push it towards your tear duct with your finger flat and it will just bunch up and pop out! I could never use those little tweezers on my eyes
I was going to say the same thing. Those tweezers look terrifying haha. You can even use the side of the knuckle on your index finger if your nails are super super long. Then just slide it towards the nose and it'll fold up and come right out.
Sliding it is alot easier to do..but if u always remove ur contacts that way u run the risk of ripping/hurtinh the surface of ur cornea...its essentially like dragging a plunger across a surface..if you lift it with2 fingers or knuckles its better since it breaks the sunction

Katarina Child in Time She's mentioned that she did have her chin either implanted or chiseled to be pointier years ago but that she felt it was too pointy, so I doubt she's done it again. I think she's just lost some weight so her jawline and chin is a tad bit more obvious now. :)

I just use optrex which does the same thing. It was available in NZ so probably available in Australia as well. It's been around for decades, certainly as long ago as the 1970s. And the pink thing you're using is called an eye bath, and every first aid bag should contain one. This is also the best way to get an insect or similar out of your eye, also eyelashes or anything else. If you splash an unknown liquid in your eye, say cooking oil or detergent, then the first thing you should do is wash your eye out using an eyebath, holding it against your eye for around a minute. Tap water is fine but if you have an eye infection then use cooled boiled water or one of several products like Optrex or the one shown here. They all work the same.

This isnt a new product, per se. I've used eye washes decades ago by other brands. Personally, i liked using them from time to time because it is actually quite refreshing especially if you get dry eyes. I dont see them being sold in my country since a loooong time ago (maybe im just not looking hard enough?) but its a relatively fun and good product to me.
If youre in america they have something very similar to this at Walgreens, i own it and its very good ☺️

My optometrist actually tells me to use it on a daily basis. It really does refresh your eyes from a long day of fatigue and tiredness. You are suppose to rock your head back and forth gently and side to side to rinse your eyeball. Also count 30 secs for each eye rinse to get a thorough rinse.

I also use lenses, and I also have long nails and extentions also but there is also another method to remove them just touch on the side while you are wearing, and slide it to the end corner of your eye, just gentally slide pinch it a little and it will come off

My husband had me use an eye wash like this from korea. It feels really nice. Especially handy to have arround the house if something gets stuck in your eye. It comes out a lot easier that eye drops alone.

Eye washes have been around forever we use to have eye washes that came with glass containers. It helps if you have something in your eye to get it out or if you have allergies. Don't think its useless just because you don't need it.
