    Hi, I have a degree in Biomedical Sciences and I’m a licensed esthetician. They should definitely have given you safety goggles or glasses for the laser treatment. The doctor and whoever’s in the room should also be wearing one. I can’t believe they didn’t, it’s a basic safety measure. For anyone wondering about the facial, yes you could do microneedling with the PRP (plasma) but microneedling and the skin booster have different purposes.. Microneedling is good for dark spots, collagen production, pore care, scaring and reducing oil production. The skin booster also boosts collagen production but mostly promotes intense hydration, which gives you that healthy glowy skin

    • @l8Frankalein
      @l8Frankalein 6 місяців тому +234

      Okay, so I'm not the only one wondering about safety goggles. I don't have a degree in that field but it seemed logical to me to wear something over the eyes for protection 🤔

    • @tina_yong
      @tina_yong  6 місяців тому +410

      You're right. Most places I've been to give googles or glasses during laser.

    • @BlackGirlLovesAnime6

      You are my idol 😲! I’m about to start studying to be a medica lab scientist but I also want to become a certified esthetician in the near future. Do you practice both at the same time? I’d love to hear more about how you balance them both if you don’t mind.

    • @ViOkabayashi
      @ViOkabayashi 6 місяців тому +30

      @@BlackGirlLovesAnime6 I don’t practice both at the same time. Right now I’m a full time esthetician. On really busy days I work from 8 am until 8 pm. I believe you could do both, like if you worked on night shifts in the lab but I personally think it would be too tiring.
      I’m not sure how it works in other countries but I’m from Brazil and to be an esthetician here and to be able to do most procedures you need to have a degree in the medical field, otherwise you are considered a tech. So I studied Biomedical Sciences for 4 years plus 1 year for specialization

      Because they need to prep your skin prior to procedure for less irritation. You know those are acids and thin out your skin, it's not a good combination with laser.

    The fact that they implied there’s anything that Tina has bad or aged skin just makes me think it’s a total scam. Like even from the strictest aesthetic standpoint her skin is flawless. I know she might have mild pih or freckles but they’re so faint you can only see it in certain lighting. Functionally she has flawless skin

      I feel odd why there was no goggle for her and then someone else commented they should NOT have had AHA and BHA on her minutes before laser treatment... Is this clinic really the go-to for Korean celeb tho????
      I once saw on UA-cam an ex-employee at a Korean clinic (she did not disclose the name of course) where one customer came for a fix surgery with the head of the clinic but when she got anesthesia someone else came in to do the job instead as she's unconscious now. Since then I have trust issue with clinics 😅

    We actually use a same kind of process for bone grafts for dental implants. The patients blood goes in a centrifuge and we extract the plasma and mix it into the donor bone. It’s a very cool process!

  • @andrew_sar
    @andrew_sar 6 місяців тому +74

    Her skin is very close to flawless, so I have to agree with other comments here that it is kind of a scam in the sense, yknow, how much benefit can you actually expect to see? With that being said, these treatments are still stimulating and stockpiling collagen for the future, and skin that has been taken care of well throughout its life will age better. So I can see both sides.

    I went to a clinic in Seoul and had Rejuran + salmon dna injection, but with a machine (like 9 needles each injection or something like that). I think they took my numbing cream off too early or something but I had a panic attack and could not stop weeping/shaking at the end because of the pain. It was pretty insane. I had a few procedures/surgeries done before without any problems. My skin looked incredible for the next 2 months tho, so that helped

That's why there are so many promotional videos made by clinics not by consumers (if a video is made by a consumer, everyone puts a disclaimer they can't say name of the clinic in the video). You might need to blur their name.
