- MARM hits the capital in search of a PB in high winds at one of the best races on the calendar.
Will the weather blow out his chances?
Will Belgravia basement apartments flip him the bird?
Will Underground drunkards spoils the journey to the race?
A real pleasure to meet the MARMERS.

Really enjoyed the vid. Looked a fantastic event and you did your dad proud with a great run. A wee bit emotional - well done.
Cheers Troy. It was a special one.
So sorry to hear about your dad Tim, but I’m sure he’s looking down you at that race and feeling very proud, well done buddy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Brian, I hope so!!
Great run in that wind, Tim! Don't know how you do it. You never look like you are struggling even when you say you are! Great work for a great charity too!
Thanks Matt. The old hammy normally gives me some aggro. Fortunately I’m whacked off my tits on CoCodamol.
Lovely way to remember your dad Tim. Despite the wind, what a fantastic race and time. We’ll be spectating at Stratford so we’ll give you a cheer if we see you!
Thanks Rachel.
Had a mental crisis last time i tackled that bugger. Swore I’d never do it again.
Barnsley folk are well known for our value for money hacks :-😂
A very heartfelt video this and kudos for the ways you remembered your late father.
Yes John!! So you’ve heard of the “megabus” then?
@middleagedrunningman we got the Megabus down to London Marathon many years ago. It was £1 each.
We missed our bus for the way back and had to pay £12 which was a bit steep really 😉
Problem with it is it's like the old steam trains. Stops in every town en route.
Best video yet .. and such a fabulous tribute to your dad … love your work Tim ❤
Thanks so much Lizzie!!
Brilliantly done. So sad about your dad You done amazing for him. Keep up the brilliant work 👍🏃🏻♂️💪⭐️
Thanks David - that’s really kind!
One of the best running videos I've seen, excellent 👏👏👏
That’s too kind Will - but I’ll take it.
Great video Tim and very sorry for your loss. What a fantastic way to honour him! Also a DOL sighting at the start in the back ground at 8:20!
Thanks Dave! Hadn’t noticed DOL!! Just checked.
So sorry to hear about your loss Tim. You ran a superb race for your Dad, huge congratulations on your shiny new PB!
Thanks Damien!! I was just a bit short, but I’m counting it….
Well done on the run, Marm, and what a lovely photo of you and your dad. My sincere condolences for your loss - you've done him proud while running for such a good cause
Thanks Clare. Photo is my favourite.
Great video, great run and a great cause. Was so sorry to hear about your dad. Loved him at the pantomime, had me on stage once. Also had a good chat with him at the Dorridge Fun Run. RIP Malc
That’s lovely to hear Ian. Good old Dorridge. He loved starting that race!
And thank you for the donation Ian. I’m so grateful.
Thanks for the shout out Tim, it was great to see you and your family at Prezzo. Jeanette is now also a member of the Marmy Army 😂. Fantastic result, so sorry to hear about your dad but great that you were running for Marie Curie. LLHM is so great it was my third too. Another fab video, so funny 😅.
Thanks Deb. I’m looking at signing up for next year already.
Great to meet you too, I’ve met some lovely people through running. Well done for signing up Jeanette - hope the race went well!!!
MARM 39 Excellent time, terrific vid, as “ Malc “ would say a legend in your own mind, as one era concludes another arises, it’s the nature of the race and you have the baton now.
Thanks Hearty. A Malc Running UA-cam channel. What a thing it could have been.
Hi MARM I'm Glad me shouting MARMY army gave you a boost in difficult conditions great run .Although my son did tell me to be Quiet and accused me of drinking at 10.00am in the morning .Great channel. love the videos.
Thanks Simon! Knew you were trashed!! Yep, a real boost. Thanks for your support!
Great stuff MARM
Nice one Owen.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad
Great video and lovely tribute 👍
Thanks Resty - loved this race! Would recommend!
Missed this vlog (was on holiday sorry) - what a fantastic tribute to Marm Snr. You're like a Werthers Original with the creamy filling ;) ps the 3/4 top is hideous.
Thanks Gaz. It’s a really terrible purchase isn’t it?
Well done brilliant time! Great video!
Thanks Jon, lovely stuff.
Another fantastic video Tim and well done on the PB - amazing running. 💪🏼
Thanks Ted!! Need to watch your latest!
Great run and great video. Sorry for your loss
Thanks Tom!!
Sorry for your loss mate. Great way to celebrate his memory. Did the course last year and really liked it- amazing support but those 180 turns were tight.
They were a bit tight - love this race though. Very windy.
I've just recently found your channel and I love it. Thank you and sorry for your loss. Brilliant to get the PB.
Makes me really happy to hear that Maeve. Share with your pals!!
Wooo!
Great race!
Sorry for your loss..
Love the videos.
Thanks so much Saiva!!
Well done for running for Marie Curie,I'm sure that was very emotional for you. It looked like great support along the way, great run
Thanks Helen - it was great to hear the support along the route!
Great video , another good run for you. Sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad 🌼
Thanks Gaz!!
Great video Tim! Doing the Big Half this year, but i've already pre-registered for this one for 2025. Fingers crossed i get in on the ballot.
It’s a beaut. Fingers crossed for you!
Sorry to hear about your dad, what a lovely way to celebrate him 🤗
Thanks Claire. Cheers for your support as ever.
Great video MARM! Well done excellent running. I was gutted not to be running this year it’s one of my absolute favourites.
It's a beauty Emma. Would have massive FOMO - but it's such an expensive one, brilliant though. But so close to the Marathon.
Lovely tribute to your Dad.
Thanks so much Paul!! Very kind sir.
What a start.. Like the clappers 🎉
Will do anything to avoid a crowd.
Great running, sir. Lovely vid, as usual.
Thanks for watching Mark!
Great Vid MARM, Sorry for your loss mate. I'm sure PB or not your dad would be proud of your achievement!. Top Running again MARM, and running for a great cause...

Really sorry for your loss. Running for a great cause. Legend 👌
Cheers Stu. (get those carbons muddy)
May your father's soul RIP. Really sorry for your loss! My deepest condolences to you and your family.
Smashed it with your new PB! 🎉🎉
Thanks Syed, very kind.
Amazing running Tim! Really pleased for you mate grabbing that PB and really lovely you did it in your Dads honour too!
Must admit, I very nearly quit running altogether when I read that Mr Saturday night ran the half 5 minutes quicker than I have 🙄 but I’m not going to rest until I take O’Leary down!
Yep. No way you can let Dermo smash Goldy. You at Arrow Valley on Sat?
@@middleagedrunningman I’m timekeeping at Arrow Valley Saturday. Still recovering from an injury.
Well done MARM - Tanking past the young Londonites, chatting and with your giant lollipop - Lovely Stuff . Fan from Barnsley
Bloody love Barnsley. Ever been on the megabus?
Maybe one day - Saving up for it.
@paulk7663 Paul - really touched by your generous donation. Thank you so much my friend.
Sorry to hear about your dad passing away. You definitely did him proud
Thanks Andy!!
Awesome time Tim . I'm aiming for 1:50 when i do one. Regards ... Tim
Superb Tim. Choose your race carefully….
Great effort, honestly! Are you doing Stratford and Cov next? It's gonna be a busy month for you. Which means more videos for the Marmy army!
Yes Tom! Strat, Nov and Drum next. (I don't like too much travel)
RE travel, I can relate to this so much!
Great video and run. Laugh, cry laugh smile. Loved the £40 top most...classic MARM. I keep wondering if your still doing the 100 mile race?
Cheers Rev. That top....Can't even look at it.
Congratulations and another great video. Shame you couldn’t get a PB but your Dad would have been well proud of you!! You need to save some pennies up for next year and do the Paris Marathon which will probably land on the same weekend as Landmarks again. It was awesome as is Landmarks of course.
Thanks Jonathon. Was looking on Strava - how did you get on?? Would love to do Paris. Easy to get in?
@@middleagedrunningman I did Paris in 3 hours 46 which I was happy with considering it was my first marathon. Anyone can enter so there are no ballots and having to run for charities. It cost me 130 euros to enter, however if you entered with another person it was less. I think you can register for 2025 now.
Just had a Quick Look…. London LLHM then Paris?
@@middleagedrunningman sounds like a plan!
Would love to know who the lady from Barnsley was !!
Me too!!
Come on Tina (still convinced) - shout up!
@@middleagedrunningman I was in Wetherspoons in Wombwell (Barnsley) on Sunday evening, girl behind bar asked if we'd had a good day and we said we'd been for a run. A lady at bar overheard and started talking to us and said her friend had run London Landmarks half....maybe it was her ? Still no idea what her name was lol
There’s a trail here….
As a new subscriber, I've been catching up on some of your past videos and charting the increasing amount of grey hair that you are now sporting!
You’ve “Grey Shamed” me Frugal!!!!
Condolences to you MARM. You will have so many memories. As regards the wind up here it is so clever. If I go for a run on Morecambe Prom it is in my face the whole way and when I run back it miraculously turns and blows in my face all the way back too! Best wishes to you and your family.
Cheers Reluctant. Yes, a lot of great memories.
That northern wind sounds like a right joker.
Sorry to hear about your dad.. Its never easy x
Thanks Emma.
Tim just seen the “views “ 1785 and rising wow !
2k by the rise of the sun??
You never look tired at the end of a half, I reckon you’ve got a sub 70 in the tank mate 👀
Sub 80 is the dream Nobby….
@@middleagedrunningman you’ll get that for sure! You coming to the amazing Northampton again this year?
@nobby2783 double booked myself Nobster. That weekend I’m supposed to be doing the century way 100miler…..
@@middleagedrunningman Don’t lie, you’d rather 100 miles of torture than a morning in Northampton and I can’t say I blame you, wise move.
@nobby2783 😂😂😂
Does anyone else have a greatly sped up version of chariots of fire while watching M. A. R. M. Start this 😂
Capital D comment got me. Can I be a member of the MARMy army in Aus 🏃♀️👍
You can be in the MARMY army anywhere Ian!!! Love the Australia Branch.
“Opening an anus full of Vienetta” 🤣🤣🤣
Incredible time in what felt like a direct headwind no matter the direction we turned! 🙌🏼
Exactly that Ian!! Every way we turned!! Felt hilly-er too!
@@middleagedrunningman Was moaning about that to my wife on the way home! “Flat my ar$e” 😆
@sportspodiatryinfouk Great race though. But that run from the Tower to Westminster…. Long old stretch.
Forty. Pounds.
You can proundly strut about in that monstrosity as only a MARM can. While you might not have gotten a HM PB, you must have surely had yourself a new HM endorphin level PB there.
About 10seconds off. I’m absolutely delighted by your UA-cam name. Mr Rude. Right up my street. That top has gone in a drawer.
Great time!
Ive been one of those lingering watchers for a while 🫣 but now I finally have an account so I can subscribe 😅
Makes me really happy to hear that "four".
I love a lingering watcher!!
