Event junkie… In 2023 I ran a race every weekend (5K- 10K) from mid-July to Thanksgiving… w/ NO training runs.

The term for what runners do is 'snot rocket'. That's the 2nd thing I learned as a cyclist.

Nowhere near your speed here…BUT, I happened to break a tape at a 5K in Rockaway Beach NYC in 2022 w/ a 22:59..! Placing is all about who ELSE shows up. So keep at it Marm, even a blind squirrel (like me) finds a nut eventually.

Fantastic running Tim! There will always be the parkrun purists that say it isn't a race, but parkrun should be whatever you want it to be. Reckon you could win my local parkrun, but Rushmere is probably a bit too far away for you.

I've missed the Broadway noticeboard. That waxing request was hilarious! The half marathon route looks really good, kinda reminds me of the Chiltern Ridge Trail Half i did back in June.

I thought the cinematography was particularly good this week. I trolled the half marathon and noticed the event was on Sunday so theoretically speaking you could have volunteered at a parkrun. That video might actually increase engagement.
