Impossible is the standout track of the new album UNLEASHED by Two Steps From Hell! It's by Thomas Bergersen and according to the composer, it showcases a lot of the styles that have been very influential to him. The whole track has a Celtic flavour and goes through the whole gamut, especially in the middle section which I'd describe as a jig with a rondo-like pattern. So you get the classic Two Steps From Hell sound with the orchestra, drums and choir, plus you get metal, some sweet electronic style with a massive synthesiser solo and the very distinctive Bulgarian choir Thomas used extensively in his solo album "Sun".
Overall the track was absolutely my favourite from Unleashed after just one listen through the album. I love it! So I did my very best to do it justice in this piano version.
Full disclosure: I use some editing magic to make these videos as I don't have time to learn them thoroughly like I would for a concert performance!

@Andrew Wrangell Music I personally think this was the most challenging, not by the raw length, but in the parts of different playstyles. I understand this original track as "Tour De TSFH, from Nemesis, to Vanquish". A lot of different styles merged into one track.
And also Andrew nailed it awesomely!
I love the way he smiles when he plays. It shows he genuinly loves playing these songs and gives me a lot of motivation to learn them too.

Nope, just telling the truth.
I love the fact is not just the right notes and speed, the important thing about music is the modulation (feeling) of the volume, the accents of the notes, the sostenuto, the fortissimo and pianissimo. You made it like the orchestra, the part 3:43 the cellos are giving so much emotion and you made it, at 4:58 the crescendo of the orchestra was very well made in the piano to the climax of the "techno" part. My congratulations of a very well made work, honestly, you deserve a medal for this work. It is obvious you listened very closely to the modulation and instruments of the whole orchestra. most piano pieces that long are more for background music (or classical) but somehow your 10 min piano transcriptions are a joy to watch and experience every damn little second
Canis97 thanks so much! I made far more "boring" videos (visually) and then I learned what looks good from watching other UA-cam performers and I implemented that. Now I'm far happier with the result!

I will never know how you got the skill to give the same feel as the actual song itself. A lot of pianists are good at redoing songs, but yours is the most accurate as far as giving the same vibes as the TSFH version. Very good job with this.

My personal favorite from Unleashed, and an awesome cover. I actually had the opportunity to interview Thomas Bergersen for an 11th grade project recently, and this cover is almost as inspirational as some of the things he told me.

I've been waiting for your arrangement since TSFH uploaded "Impossible" on their channel. Some people made their arrangements before, but i was feeling like "something is misssing", so i waited for your. And there it comes, beautyful as expected, and i feel that's it! That's the piece TSFH composed, but i wanted to hear on piano! Most piano composers/ arrangers i see over the UA-cam put billions of notes into piece and play it with their master skills, but i feel like their creations are lacking "soul", i don't know how to explain.
I meanly give likes and subs, becouse i limit my likes and subs to "the best of bests", but you convince me now.
One day i'll go buy this arrangement and play! Sadly, i can't play piano this good yet (i barely can play anything).

There's a lot of pianists I envy, they can play for more impressively than I can and I aspire to that. But the music must be satisfying at its core, otherwise all the technical mastery can be a little hollow. So I try not to make my arrangements flashy for the sake of it most of the time. As someone who enjoys TSFH and piano to a great extent, this was done exceptionally well. What impressed me even more is syncing this recording with the one from TSFH. Not only are they complimentary, but the rhythm and intensity match perfectly. Awesome job.
