I just followed your mushroom ui tutorial and i‘m so happy with the results! Eager to find out what nice things you have now, keep up the great work!🙏🏻
Hey, Lewis, thanks for sharing my vacuum card! I love watching your videos, and it's a surprise for me to see you talk about something I've made. P.S: There's also a compliment card for air purifiers, called purifier-card. It also has nice animations :)
I love using card mod to combine different cards together to form a new one! For example I made my own vacuum card, similar to the one in the video, but instead it's made from mushroom cards and fits visually together with other mushroom cards.
Health warning on mushroom dashboard strategy - after installing it I didn’t realise it put switch off all sockets at the top and clicked it - so lost broadband, RpI etc. I’d add vertical stack in card into the mix for those good looking mushroom dashboards
I hope you can make a video soon about how to organize dashboards, way too many are about cards and easy technical stuff and way too few are about organization. Adding cards to your dashboard is easy, where to add which device/entity is hard. I tried making one page per room/category, but that just made it cumbersome to use, as scrolling is way easier/faster on both phones and computers than pagination.
I think the key is not adding too many devices that you can't find anything, I find people add controls for devices they never use and it just takes up space. That and grouping devices together where possible is also a great way to improve space
Lewis, you have been crushing it recently. Great video content for an old geezer who is just start the HA journey. Would love to see your dashboard design approach with all these options. Pick one or mix and match? Adaptive? One adaptive dasboard for all use cases and devices or lots of dasboard for different devices, users, and locations?
"fan go spin" oh you star! I can already tell that Lewis is going to have an entire catalogue of Dad jokes to mortify his kid with. Keep them coming mate ♥️
I have been struggling to find a good gauge card that allows for the configuration of short press vs long press. I love the look of the standard gauge card, but want to configure the tap action to load a sub-panel dashboard. Do you have any recommendations?
it would be nice if you could redo the movies on mushroom as apparently based on the latest homeassistant does not really apply anymore any of your guides. Thanks
Dashboards are still too manual to configure. IMHO if say I wanted to add 15 bulb cards to a dashboard its a pain. There should be a way to pick a card type and configure it then have a tick list of all the devices that suit this type and just tick the ones you want and it creates them all with the config you set at the start. adding devices one by one and setting up each one is painful. Would be excellent for horizontal or vertical cards.
It would be so good if you can make a tuto on adaptative dashboard from minimalist. I have minimalist working great, but can't figure how to configure adaptative.
So, still no dashboard that can be read across the room. I use HADashboard on my wall mounted tablets today with tiles showing time, temperature, electricity prices, status of washer, dishwasher, open windows etc. I can sit in the sofa and see everything I need to know from a distance. It was set up long time before Lovelace was even born and still nothing can compare to it. All Lovelace cards takes up too much space and with too small font for the important values.
The automatic dashboard built into HAAS is a stinky fart of a ui. New card is a step in the right direction but hardly anything to get excited about. Thank god for third-party devs with a trace of ui/ux aptitude.
It would be great if the core would implement these nice looking cards. I refuse to use the HACS stuff since it is fastly unsupported and I'd like to rely on my stuff for years.
It'd be nice if you started the video by saying where or how you access these cards. What's the point of showing us cards viewers don't know how to get?
What we need now is a dashboard builder app - hook up themes, load all the entities and voila it creates one for you!

Awesome glad to hear it!

Great work, thanks for watching and creating the cards! 🙏🏻
Thank you very much for making these nice custom cards. My vacuum robot (and I) love it!
Can you post a link for the Air Purifier card?
I bet it will be great for our Mii Home Air Purifiers.
the vacuum card is amazing! Thanks for the hard work!
Can you make a guide for a bubble cards dashboard?
Maybe once they are a bit more complete, sure!

@@EverythingSmartHome That would be super nice, as i was gonna ask this question.
Love your tutorials, love your content. Keep it up!
Bubble with the pop up looks excellent
Definitely pretty cool!

Haha yes I almost did the same but tested lights first and noticed that happened, good point!

Appreciate that!
Will probably have more content on that in the future
Fantastic video for those of us with tired looking dashboards! Thank you.
Glad you found it useful!
Self created dashboard are great for first-use of HA, but the best experience is create your own dashboard. Thanks a lot for video.
Great video. The custom:button-card is by far my favoritt. 100% flexible
New dashboard with bubble cards ;-) looking for some idea's for my new tablet!
Hey Lewis, Could you maybe make a video on how to set up the bubble dashboard?
I'm really enjoying bubble cards, and look forward to it maturing and improving even more.
Glad to hear it!
Extremely useful video! Thx!
I use Mushroom and used your tutorial and really love that dashboard. I have basically no knowledge in coding, and this is really easy to use.
That's awesome 🙌
Hey lewis , where did you find the minimalist dashboard at 4:36 ? (The fav parts of the dashboard is interesting)
I'm curious about that too @EverythingSmartHome
Did you find the answer?
Is it possible to get your code from the bubble cards? =)
Oh my goodness a LCARS theme, that is so awesome.
"fan go spin" oh you star! I can already tell that Lewis is going to have an entire catalogue of Dad jokes to mortify his kid with. Keep them coming mate ♥️
😂 thanks!
Bubble cards are fire🔥
🙌
Nice Video. Can you make an Video about Bubble Cards pls. How to Configure .
I have been struggling to find a good gauge card that allows for the configuration of short press vs long press. I love the look of the standard gauge card, but want to configure the tap action to load a sub-panel dashboard.
Do you have any recommendations?
As you say Lewis, perhaps a video on the power of card mod (with examples) would make a nice companion for your Minimalist guide. Just sayin'.
Haha will definitely consider it!
Would love to see a card mod master class.
great video as always! Where is the "three lines of code" to do the auto-generate of mushroom cards?
In the read me for the card on GitHub or just copy what's on screen
Thanks for sharing!
Where are the links to cards and where's article on your website? Can't find it
Sorry I've been away and forgot to add them, will add soon
How do I set the default dashboard for different users? It seems to be selectable when logged in as a user under the profile settings but never saves?
Ta Lewis, do you know what and how the star trek theme was done?
Could you please share the code for you temperature and humidity graphs?
3:42 - 3:42 “The Vacuum Card is a really great addition to any dashboard”
Not if you don’t have a smart vacuum, it’s not.
I am still wondering where I should start (Mushroom?) to make a modern looking HA Dashboard for my wall mounted tablet?
Not a bad place to start at all
it would be nice if you could redo the movies on mushroom as apparently based on the latest homeassistant does not really apply anymore any of your guides. Thanks
great video. a card-mod video would be awesome too !
Appreciate it!
You're great! Keep it up!
Thanks my friend 🙏🏻
Can you make a video about ha fusion UI?
Mushroom Strategy is interesting. I wish home assistant would have something like this by default.
One day one day!
Looking forward to that video on Card Mod ;-)
Prepare for a 5 hour video 😆
@@EverythingSmartHome I'll get the popcorn 🍿
@@EverythingSmartHome Sounds like a great 6 part series!
+1 for Tile Card alone, didn't realise it was so powerful!
Definitely a welcome addition
Hey Lewis, what's your opinion on whether MariaDB is still the best option?
Stick with stock SQLite now IMO
A small question: do you just pick one card (for example Mushroom), or do you mix them all up?
Mix and match as you see fit and are happy with design wise!
What do you think about the homey pro?
Not sure I don't have one unfortunately, I don't think they want to send me one. Would love to take a look

Been meaning to take a crack at that for a while!

Surely everything can be read across the room if you apply the correct scaling and font size, and have enough screen real estate?
0:04 YIKES!!! whoever "designed" that dashboard should be charged with crimes against everything LCARS. could that have been "designed" any worse?
The automatic dashboard built into HAAS is a stinky fart of a ui. New card is a step in the right direction but hardly anything to get excited about. Thank god for third-party devs with a trace of ui/ux aptitude.
No Vacuum Map Card? ☹️
The vacuum card supports maps I mentioned during the video, so long as your vacuum supports it
@@EverythingSmartHome I meant my "(Xiaomi) Vacuum Map Card"
Blah blah blah... yeah whatever... what about your t-shirt?
That's an awesome t-shirt. Where do we get one?
Great video. Thank you!
😂 it's an LTT shirt!
It would be great if the core would implement these nice looking cards. I refuse to use the HACS stuff since it is fastly unsupported and I'd like to rely on my stuff for years.
For now I don't have that experience but you need to be a bit picky.
You shouldn't be afraid of HACS. just stick with the well-documented ones, just like every OSS out there.
Can you share your dashboard .yaml?
Bubbles card just crashed my whole home assistant! please be careful!
SO, I have to ask, why does Sarah have that picture?
She chose it 😂
Poor Sarah, couldn't you find a nicer picture 😂
She actually chose it 😂
some of them should be included by default.
Fan go spin!
Fan go brrrr
It'd be nice if you started the video by saying where or how you access these cards.
What's the point of showing us cards viewers don't know how to get?
5-10 years from now HA might just be user friendly. If it's still relevant. lol
Hey lewis , where did you find the minimalist dashboard at 3:57 ? (The fav parts of the dashboard is interesting)
