How much do you charge to install the big foot system? Been thinking of buying. Feel free to message me if you get a chance . New subscriber, you have a very informative and fun channel.
@@blakebarker639 Thanks for watching and subscribing. On a similar Class "C" without having to remove a previous leveling system labor would be $1000. Thanks!
Thanks for all the video work ... hard enough to do a job w/out video. Our 2016 MB 3500 Sprinter chassis under a Forrest River already has to hyd levelers in the rear. Waiting for Quadra to get back w/ us if we can incorporate the existing rear levelers & only have to buy a system w/ 2 cylinders/hoses etc. Curious - Bigfoot website says their systems are bolt on. WHY risk potential chassis warranty by welding the units on?
I wonder if you can answer a question for me regarding big foot leveling jacks. It looks like I have a similar system and I’m trying to check for Top off fluid level. I remove the shroud on the front passenger side jack and I’m not seeing a reservoir. Is there one main reservoir for the whole system or should I check the driver side. Just wondering if you knew. Thank you in advance
This exactly what I want to do with my travel trailer. I’ve been hunting for a video and finally I found one, thanks! I’m hunting for more since I’m trying to switch from lippert TT stabilizers to lippert ground 3.0 auto level jacks
We are looking for an RV but finding what we want and also having Levelers is difficult. I decided I try to find an install video! I'm a handy guy and I do know how to weld. I'm 68 years old and don't think I'll be tackling this project. We can't be looking for an RV without levelers and plan to install myself!
I am thinking of adding jacks to my Sunseeker 2500TS and have looked at both Bigfoot and HWH. I kinda like the HWH more than the Bigfoot because they have the springs to bring the cylinders back in if something goes wrong. What preference would you give to either one..This motorhome is on a Ford 450 chassis. Thanks!
HWH is the better product in the sense that they make almost everything, while other manufacturers use off the shelf components. Truthfully, either are good and i would go on price alone if it were me.
Hi, I commented on your Big Foot/Leprechaun videos a year ago-I finally bit the "poverbial bullet", and ordered the system. It took several weeks for it to arrive-supply chain interruptions, I suppose. I ordered the kit that had four separate pumps which arived today, 25AUG2021. Interestingly, today when I checked the Big Foot website, the 4-pump system is no longer available. Oh well... I have the EXACT same setup that you did the install on, 2019 Leprechaun on a Chev 4500 Chassis. The question that I have, did you have to cut off the existing brackets from the so-called Stabilizing System? It looks like you can fudge a bit in the front, but certainly not in the rear. And with everything in the way, did you remove only part of the rear bracket, or front bracket? Thank you for your time, it's much appreciated, and certainly not taken for granted. I look forward to your reply.
I think the factory installs them for $3000-3500. It's difficult for me to quote, as shipping can get pricey or if we have to remove existing jacks first.
So was it worth the $3000? I have a 29 foot 2009 Class C (F450), tired of manual leveling, thinking buying some sort of leveling system. I thought that Big Foot was a possibility but that seam like a whole lot of effort
Great video! Now that you’ve had these big foot jacks for a couple years, how are they holding up? Have you experienced any issues? How far do they extend? Do they lift high enough to change a tire with them? We’re looking for hydraulic jack options for our school bus conversion 😀 Thanks for the video!! - Brian + Erin
I have not seen it since I installed them. These would not be rated for a diesel bus but maybe a smaller gas bus. and you can lift the vehicle off the ground with them
I think that you did a nice job on your video, good use of time. It's an overview, and not a step-by-step. I have this same EXACT RV-2019 Leprechaun with Chevy 4500 chassis, and I would like to install the Big Foot system. At the beginning the video, you mentioned that you had hoped for the independent pump and reservoir system. After completing the installation, given the concerns with the size limitations, particularly in the rear, would you still go with the independent pump per jack vs the central system? The difference in cost between the two is negligible in my opinion considering the expense in time for the installation. I'm very patient, and consider myself fairly handy, and I have access to most tools, including an expert journeyman weldor. Thanks in advance, and again, nice job on your video
Thank you. I was just being lazy and didn't want to run lines back in all honesty, this is a much better system than the four pump version. It sounds like you should be over qualified to install this system. Hope that helps.
@@AZExpert Good morning-thank you for the prompt reply! One final question, do you have an opinion on the Quadra Big Foot at $3,370 vs the Equalizer Systems at $3,195? equalizersystems.com/product/class-c-eq-smart-level-system-ford-chevy-chassis/ Thank you for your help, I appreciate it, and I hope you have a pleasant weekend. Take care.
@@craigstratton1469 I mean they are very similar systems, but my honest opinion is that Equalizer is a little better system....but I am very confident most of the components are sourced to very similar companies as bigfoot(ie pump, valves, control boards)
Usually, I just stick a cut zip tie into the tank. Just make sure you check with the jacks retracted. There should be at least an inch of air gap, don't fill it up to the cap. Thanks!
@@AZExpert ah ok, but would have been simple bolt on with a bare frame? looking at options for if we end up buying a class c without leveling system pre-installed
@@stromjockey there wasn't a bolt on option. Most class "c" are fords this was a chevy. I can only say I did my best to follow the manufacturer's instructions but they were nearly useless. Thanks
I was at my local RV dealer and I was looking at a Class C. I noticed that the RV did not have any type of level/stabilizer system on it. I asked the salesman about it and he told me. "The Class C motorhomes are built on a weak chassis. "That they can't handle the load that the stabilizer system produce." I politely nodded and kept the conversation going. Is he correct or is he just being a salesman? I know I've seen other class c motorhomes with them installed at multiple RV shows.
This leveling jacks can be install to 24ST CITATION 2015 by THOR please let me know and what good business phone number to reach you guys, Thanks in advance
Hi there I would like to ask you if I just fix it without Welding how is the safety in your opinion so I can change at any time or I can use it on other motorhome update me please you look professional 🤩😎
If you can safely bolt it on you should be fine...It will be difficult though. I doubt you'd want to swap it from RV to RV once you install it the first time.
Good job. Thanks for the video James. Happy trails!
Thanks for watching!
This is WAY above my brain... but SO cool to go under with you to see what's down there ... Great work! Thanks

He is being a salesman. The frames are strong. Leveling is expensive and adds high cost not every buyer wants to pay for so is less common.
