I'm gonna have to get donnie to do that. The best suggestion I have is to use a paddle more than a boat pole. Your shoulder will thank you!

Quick question. If you are always trying to fish the deepest part of the river. Are you still trying to fish the bank? Or do you find you get more eats in the middle of the river?

Each "spot" is different. In high water situations many times the bank is the only area with slow enough water for fish to rest. Some fish will grab right on the bank but I typically see larger fish follow for awhile, then eat in the deeper water. In low water situations I find most of the fish out in the deeper water. A few exceptions would be wood piles and cold water tributaries

@@alexlafkasfishing Thanks, the information in these videos is amazing. Tied a few of your fish skull minnows from your live stream. Looking forward to trying them out. Will definitely take them from a stroll through some deeper parts of the river here.

Alex - great video. I’m getting a drift boat for personal fishing and waterfowl photography. Re fishing - does the boat color matter so as NOT to spook trout? I know there’s a whole thing on not wearing loud colors when wade fishing but what about the sides of the boat?

I'm not really sure but I've always owned drab colored boats. I have to imagine bright wouldn't help. My current Clacka is gray
