Must admit I am still on the fence for this movie it looks great but still worried about how they will do the story. I would love Hera to be a strong women who can defend herselt and out ride any one. However if they go full on warrior princess with her (like Rings of power) I feel it lessens what Eowyn does in LOTR.
Yes. Great point. It is tough to balance between a shield maiden and an Amazonian Girl-boss. TRoP did the latter to Galadriel. I hope PJ and company were able to find that balance. I think anime has many heroines who are tough, smart, skilled-at-fighting but still very feminine. I hope that is how we will see Hèra. 🙏🤞
I'm incredibly excited. I have enjoyed ROP; I know a lot haven't. I have the same timeline and plot issues a lot of people have with it so I get it, but I have enjoyed it nonetheless. With War of The Rohirrim though, I'm excited - knowing this is in the LOTR movie version of the universe, and that PJ has had a hand in it, it's pretty nostaligic to my teens. Even the fact that it's getting a December release. I feel like I get to relive some part of my youth.
I've a question for Channel. So I began reading the book "The Fall of Gondolin". Early on I hear the narrator saying gnomes. Are gnomes in middle earth? And if so what role did they play in the stories?
I think it is a mistake to release the Art Books before the movie comes out. The reason is simple: everyone who buys the art book will be disappointed when they see the anime because the detail and quality are markedly worse.😞 My wife has a dozen anime art books, all bought AFTER she watched the Animes. If you don't get disappointed looking at the trailer picture and then looking at the artists' detailed depictions of the characters than you don't have high standards at all. 🤨 On the other hand, serious Cosplayers base their costumes on the art books, which means they will be able to go to the theater cosplaying as one of the characters.😁👍

It saddens me that they looked through such excellent material and decided to tell it from the pov of an unnamed character, just so they could make a movie like every 20s movie (main character strong willed warrior female fighting her station from within and battling her enemies from without) Grrrrrl Power, am I right!? 😑
Such a dumb take. All the named Characters die before the story is finished, except for Helm's nephew Frealaf, who is famously NOT with Helm Hammerhand or the main fighting at the Hornburg.
