  • Hi Guys,
The Vlog Series are based on reviews of products I personally own and mods I've done to my bike - Honda CB1000R neo sports cafe.
On this episode, I got to another level of freedom with a open face helmet, this has been a revelation, riding just got so much better, absolutely recommend it - for shorter and slower rides - you can really appreciate the riding experience.
    Hope you all enjoy it!

I’m after a vintage style open face for next spring and the Bell 500 in a fancy colour is probably top of my list to try for fit and comfort - I particularly like the SMcQ blue special edition if I can still get one. However, now I’m not so sure… after watching your video, the classic white with black peak does look very, very cool indeed! 😎👌

Yes Dennis, can’t go wrong with a classic. If it’s good enough for Steve McQueen, is good enough for me 😂😎

Not yet Dan, it was a quick ride around the block. You know it is, there is always someone who will have a negative thing to say no matter what you do. It’s fine, just carry on doing your thing! Stay safe🤙🏾

Loving the Bell 500 - lots of useful info.
You mention you were concerned about safety on the road, in case you come off.
Why don’t you wear a jacket, gloves and boots??

I normally do, but on this day just jumped on the bike for a quick ride around the block. Thanks for the support 🙏🏾

Thanks Larifari4371, the helmet sells at an awesome price and very good quality. Sound protection isn’t great, but decent for a open helmet. I only use for shorter/slower rides so it’s been ok. If you wear earplugs I’m sure you’re be fine 💪🏾

I’m considering buying one of these, however, reluctant based on some others comments about it not playing nice with sunglasses. (The front of the helmet pushing down on the glasses and bridge of your nose as well as the arms of the glasses being uncomfortable). Has that been an issue for you as well? Thanks

    • @v79moto
      @v79moto  Місяць тому +1

Hey D Mac! I don’t feel the helmet pushing down on the sunglasses, but I do get a lot of wind through the bottom of the sunglasses which makes it easier to ride without them rather than with them, crazy right? Only up to 30-40mph, faster is too uncomfortable. I’m wearing the helmet everyday for my commute, it’s decent and cheap, but if you want something better go for the Shoei equivalent.

@@v79moto OK thanks I’m going to try one on today as well as the shoei. Thanks again for your feedback. Really enjoyed your video, keep up the great work!

I dont like peaks....catch the wind....and lifts your head.....I do have a set of goggles resting on the top were you peak is.....I tried riding with them over my eyes once.....gee that was scary......very much creates a blind spot left and right....never again.
Saying that the sit on the helmet all the time looking retro 1960s style.
If you want eye protection....and you dont already wear glasses.....wear sun glases....or plain lens safety specs ect.
Unfortunately there is no leather goggle strap retainer on the rear of the helmet so nothing to stop them flying off as you ride at higher speed....so I use the press stud on the side....take out a screw....poke it through the strap off the goggles and put back in.
To be honest....if the sun is in my eyes....I can pull down the edge of the goggles only a bit from the resting place.....and its covers the low sun and stops it blinding you.
I am finding the strap a short....putting the helmet on....the strap tries to pull off my glasses......I can put them on with the hemet on....risk of breaking the arm's.....but I see you un buckle the strap.....good idea....I will try that.....looks a real fiddle.....but you make it look easy.....Thank you Sir.
