    i dont think this method is correct because i used it on some questions of my home work, then i looked up the answers to my home work online and the key has completely different answers.

      Alix Shores Share the problems you worked on. We'll compare slopes and intercepts.

    I’ve been trying this method on some few questions and I can’t help but realize it doesn’t work on sum?

    I am assuming yes, but can you use this to graph inequalities too?

    • @MATHguide
      @MATHguide  2 роки тому

      Yes' but inequalities have an additional step. You have to determine which side of the line to shade.

      In certain situations, yes.

    10x - 3y= -15

    • @MATHguide
      @MATHguide  7 років тому +2

      Alix Shores Substitute 0 for the x-value. The new equation becomes: -3y = -15. Solve for the y-value. What do you get?

    • @alixshores4118
      @alixshores4118 7 років тому +4

      5

    • @MATHguide
      @MATHguide  7 років тому +2

      Alix Shores Yes, that makes a point on your graph, (0,5). Now, substitute 0 for the y-value and solve for the x-value.
