Just finished paddling from where I left off in this video to the end. I'm editing that video now. If your planning your trip for this year, expect some very low water levels. Thanks for watching!
Great trip Kevin! Thanks for sharing! Really want to canoe the St Croix. One of these days. I'm headed to Turtle Flambeau Flowage next weekend for 4 days. Nice place to canoe camp. Thanks again!
Thanks! It's been a great river so far. Next year we'll be headed through a more populated stretch though. Turtle is on my bucket list too. Have a good trip sounds fun.
Stumbled across your channel planning our summer hiking trips 😁, haven’t paddled St Croix for many years now. Hopefully we can still get there this summer 🤞🏼. Can’t wait for all this stuff to be over. Great shots of the area and nice channel👍🏼!
Thanks! I have a lot of plans/reservations for this summer too, so I'm crossing my fingers. We are doing another section of the st.croix as well. Thanks for checking out my channel!
Loved the video Kevin. Hell of a musky! I fished what appears to be the same stretch where that was caught this summer and all I caught was a stick lol.
It's an old town guide. We've had it quite awhile and it's been good and durable. Wider canoe with a bit of a keel so good stability in the lakes. Not very light though.
@@UpNorthAdventures Yeah! I meant "Guide". It's a great canoe, but it isn't very good for a solo craft. My daughter moved out and left my needing to seek out a solo option
If you haven't already.. try sitting in the bow seat backwards. That seat is a little more towards the center of the canoe so it might help distribute the weight better.
A net would've helped lol. I just seen a video that went viral of an eagle swimming to shore on the st. croix with a muskie in its talons. Pretty cool! Thanks for watching!
@@UpNorthAdventures Curious if you're familiar with a landing known as Pansy Landing between Riverside and Danbury. It's about 4 river miles downstream of Riverside and slightly down stream of the Upper Tamarack River. River left. Google maps shows it but the StCroix River maps do not. Just wondering about it as a launch point. Thanks.
Can’t wait to go there with my friend. Looks beautiful

Gave it a thumbs up Kevin. Be great to unite for a trip sometime. Until the next one. Take care.
Appreciate it and I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

🤣lol. People try forever to catch muskie and she caught it on her first cast with a small mr. twister and no leader!
That’s amazing! I’m embarrassed to say I’m 45 and have never caught one.
Yep same here lol
Wonderful trip Sir! Looks like you are in an Old Town 147 Outfitter. I have the same boat if it is. Thanks for bringing us along!

Yep I've tried it solo..wasn't easy!
@@UpNorthAdventures I can do it, but I have to sit on the floor near the yoke to keep the nose down.

Need a net! Great video. The St. Croix has been on my radar for a Musky expedition.

Love your videos. You folks ever have any issues with bears or other critters ??
Thank you! Nothing canoeing but seen bears while backpacking and they just run off. Raccoons have stole my food though lol.
