I’m gonna say Dallas is now with the new additions and they’ll have the entire season together. Boston had been together the entire season and if both teams make it back to the same point, Dallas will come out with the victory barring injuries.
Denver starters - 86pts, weak bench. OKC starters - 85pts, strong bench, great defense Dallas starters - 98pts, decent bench, good defense Not concerned at all with Denver. They will struggle all year to score enough to succeed (unless Braun takes a major step up in scoring). OKC will be very tough because they have more than enough points including their bench, the defense will give everyone trouble (other than a healthy Luka), but especially because there are only a couple guards in the NBA who can legitimately mess with SGA. He's proven he can average over 30 in the playoffs against Dallas when they were playing great defense. He will keep them in games even if a few starters have an off night (or you try to take away scoring through defensive schemes). I don't know what to think about Minnesota. They were the easiest matchup for Dallas, but they still scare me with the defense and the streaky shooting. I'm honestly amazed they didn't trade Towns. He's a great player, but Reid looks to be even better and won't get enough playing time behind Kat. If their PG play is solid, they're going to be really tough to beat. Edwards is just going to keep getting better.
I love the idea of Klay starting for us, but if I had my way, this would be our starting lineup when everyone is healthy: PG: Luka SG: Kyrie SF: Naji PF: PJ C: Lively
I believe we are fine on guards in general. The only thing we need is a true 4 .A big 6-9 that can play defense and grab some boards. PJ is really a 3 and he is our starting 4 . The 2nd unit has 4 guards really . But overall we are ready - A because we still have Maxi and Powell 😂.

Disagree with need for backup point guard at this time. Exum is a decent backup point guard. Big stretch 4 that can defend is needed more with Maxi unable to play a full season. Just get Dante back to his peak
IMO still got some dead weight. Not sure if anything Powell & Morris gives us. We need Irving and Luka to be our locker room leaders not cheerleaders that give zero in game time. Mavs need good rebounder. With luka,kairi and klay they will shoot a lot of three. Now therefore they will missed a lot of 3s also. Thats why they need a denis rodman type of player that can give them 20 rebounds in nightly basis.
Agree not sure why we resigned Exum after his playoff performance. Think we could have used Exum, Maxi, Powell and Morris to get 1 upgraded player ie. Dort, Dennard can't believe we are not in the conversation for LM from Jazz. IMO Thunder have killed us with their improvement vs Mavs.
I would like to see a comparison of rosters based on age. Mavs were very old a couple years ago but have brought in nice younger pieces the last year. I think there is a delicate balance of getting younger but not too young and those teams that balance the maturation of their roster best will have the best chance of competing for championships the longest.

This is b/c we are only $2.5M below the 1st tax apron and giving DSJ the rest of our $4.2M MLE without making that roster move push us over that. 3. I wouldn’t say Nico is done making big moves, if there is one that makes sense. We still have unprotected 1sts in 25 & 31, salary filler in Maxi & young players in Hardy, Grimes & Prosper that can be put in a big trade. What I think Nico will do before the offseason is finished, is waive AJ Lawson, re-sign Markieff Morris & sign one of DSJ or Dinwiddie for either the MLE or minimum. Luka/Kyrie/Klay/PJ/Lively DSJ or Dinwiddie/Hardy/Grimes/Naji/Gafford Exum/OMax/Markieff/Maxi/Powel

Because of losing critical pieces like Josh Green and DJJ we need one more great two way player. Moving Green was a terrible idea. That one is really going to hurt us come playoff time.
Every team needs a main defender, and here you can get three at a low cost. Thybulle is the best outside defender, Garuba is a great inside defender, who can defend outside and Sharp is a poor Wembanyama, who makes 6 blocks per game
