We bought the Cardinal with some friends. I will keep the RV-6A for a LONG time. Quinn just soloed the Cardinal. That video should be up in the next week or so. Merry Christmas!
I think the constant speed prop, cowl flaps and stabilator were all seen as too much of a change. I think it's great. Quinn just soloed it without any difficulty.

Finally ran into to this one. Ah, Merry Christmas, this year! When I see Maddie and future airline pilot Junior Quinn flying in that crosswind, I know they had a good instructor. They both handled those landings excellent. I think that is due to their training, having a top notch instructor, not just someone trying like hell to get 1500 hours logged anyway possible. I really doubt anyone who played “musical instructor” at the local FBO would have handled the plane that well in those conditions. By musical instructor, I mean getting a different instructor just about every lesson. Is what it is. Good job Captain! That is a really nice plane. Best Wishes to everybody!
She's a beaut !! Love the paint scheme. Sits very well under the flag. Almost like ya planned it that way lol. I thought under those windy conditions they both did a great job managing that big old elevator. That can take some getting use to on the flare if you're not familiar with it. Merry Christmas to you and your precious family. God bless you with safe flights.

We are not just Maddie Fans We are The Quinnjim Family Fans and yes the 177 was one I never did get to fly in ynow it is a cool plane .

The Cardinal is a very much an improvement over a 172. It should have replaced the 172 but the 172 was too popular to die that easy.

Great plane but the original 150 hp version was very underpowered.
I agree. Ours is sitting at about 190hp with the tuned exhaust.
