I really liked Onimusha Dawn of Dreams, but I honestly prefer the direction of the original Trilogy. It's very weird that they still didn't released a new game after whole this years. I mean by only playing Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2, recently I was just thinking about how a new Onimusha game would've shined on their new RE engine, if they made it. All they have to do is to get Takeshi Kenshiro's face (and voice for the japanese version), RE engine, the combination of the gameplay elements from Onimusha 2 and 3, a team behind of Devil May Cry 5 to start the development on the project and that's it.
Played this one. Had fun doing the dungeon with 100 floors for each character. Tried the hardest difficulty, failed hard. Now the game is so broken it stops at random places. Will buy it again someday.
Until this day, I am still hoping that we will get a new Onimusha game. I always come back to it once every few years, just to re-experience playing it all over again, easily one of my fav game series.

RobotHideyoshi is great, has cool moves and design but is so damn easy for a final boss. I beat him without using any healing items or power up, just normal attacks and thrust attacks when he is down. All his atracks are slow and predicable but I see here he just kicks you and use that electric wave in the ground while he gets up. In the original game he has a lot more attacks like machine gun , a sword swing, an headsplitter and some rockets that lands near him and explodes after a while.
Some says that dark souls is the hardest game of history, but i can tell you that this one is harder, i was stuck in tenkai boss at 2:24:00 with around 35% of health and without any thing to increase it... i abandoned and i was thinking that after this battle should come the final boss but no ! when i see this video i can confirm it now, this game is really hard even more harder than adventure island in nintendo NES
It is actually not that hard, when you regain control on Disc 2 (after Soki got the Onimusha power at the temple), immediately ask Kichi to do the trial dungeon, finish up to 50th floor with each member and your team would have enough power to clear the game with ease.
AJTComicsBrand in oni 3 you found a document in the past, that says that he had to escape japan for a time because he was chased by nobunaga army, then in dawn of dreams, akane told us that his uncle Munenori killed several members of the yagyu village and wound his grandfather, so i am pretty sure that he is still alive but is badly injured or reluctant to battle the genma because he has lost so much in the oni/genma war
To be honest, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is a separate continuity from the previous 3 entries, that’s because Yoshinori Ono ( the director of SF 4-5) directed this game not Keiji Inafune (the creator and director of Onimusha 1-3)
Ah man I miss this game though I was never much of a fan of Roberto and his fighting style so I never really used him... A bad call considering the boss rush near the end killing frois was annoying.
I'm glad that I have every single onimusha game including the one in the Game Boy Advance they should finish the series because on the end of this game akane says that someone still survived and he mix the blood of Oni and Grandma what are the odds that he's getting powerful yes they defeated the Lord but what would happen if you do mix the demon blood will he become powerful that's why this game is not done yet

I only 13 yrs old but I like tgis game so much I want soki back and samanosuke they are my best character in game and my life.

i swera to god the same thing happened to me with the bee boss and i literally started a new game and made sure i had health and potions
