    He's right, a manager can win 8 games in a row, lose his next 2 and it's "Manager Out"

    • @ricksanchez3218
      @ricksanchez3218 4 дні тому

      it's all context, it costs them millions to end contracts early so it's never spur of the moment, Ange for example has literally one tactic and playstyle, he's had some amazing wins so far against big teams this season but they've been exposed in just as many games.

    • @reisssato902
      @reisssato902 4 дні тому

      @ricksanchez3218 I'm not talking about the clubs, im talking about the fans, everything is instant reactions nowadays, even with Ange the over-reaction to when he first started was crazy, after just a few games the fans were like Ange is the best thing since Sir Alex Furguson, look now, he's been found out for playing one way, fans are waaay to over-ractionary these days

    • @ricksanchez3218

      @@reisssato902 that's just passion, we are all guilty of it on occasion. It does create unrealistic expectations but players and managers are also guilty of riding that wave of enthusiasm when the going is good, it's when the going plummets it all goes tits up

    • @reisssato902
      @reisssato902 4 дні тому

      @ricksanchez3218 You're right, passion does sometimes give us blurred vision, however players and clubs don't get caught up in the hype the same as the fans, they're the ones putting in the work and the sacrifices, it dought Ange or Arteta for example has lost the dressing room yet but fans will paint that narritive and push to get them OUT

      @@k.a.n.e8636 exciting football can equal trophies - see klopp and guardiola. Poch had no squad depth and still took spurs really close to trophies with never more than a decent starting 11 and a terrible bench.
      The problem isnt exciting football, as I dont find angeball very exciting. The problem is weak ideas, weak coaching and an absence of solutions.

    • @k.a.n.e8636
      @k.a.n.e8636 4 дні тому

      @@davidthompson9141 I agree with you. But his football is definitely exciting it’s pure attack. But his tactical setup leaves his team vulnerable constantly. It’s his lack of tactical awareness that is his downfall. He has only succeeded with this at previous clubs because he’s managed the best teams in those leagues (poor leagues may I add) .

    • @davidthompson9141
      @davidthompson9141 4 дні тому

      @@k.a.n.e8636 I dont think pure attack is any more exciting than pure defence. Both cases are fighting with one hand tied behind your back.
      What is exciting to me is going out with a well drilled team that is strong all over the pitch and challenging for titles. This going out each week with one hand tied behind our back only having wing play and nothing else going forward and leaving the defence completely exposed to maintain a 40% win percentage and compete for mid table with a top 5 squad is not remotely exciting to me. I actually find it insufferable.

    ange has been with us for 1 and a half seasons, we have some good players to fit his system but we dont have enough quality players on the bench to make us consistent in the long term. give him another couple of transfers and then see where we are at. i love him for our club, for a team who havent won a trophy in 50 years our fans are so entitled to think we should be winning them after 1 season with a new manager...

    • @VivJadore
      @VivJadore 3 дні тому +1

      This comment! Especially the last part! Spurs haven’t won anything for a long long time, so demand from the upper mgmt for a trophy is ridic. Spurs should be looking at consistency and progress. A trophy is possible in the future if they stick with Ange for a while, and don’t change managers too soon.

    He's not wrong though he? Everytime a manager stands on the touchline they're under examination. Lazy journalism isn't taking context into account. You guys are appalling.

    • @ricksanchez3218
      @ricksanchez3218 4 дні тому

      It's a high profile job and very highly paid, you have to expect scrutiny, criticism and praise whether warranted or not. Context is necessary but in my experience managers and players will always find something to complain about whether it's the media, transfers, contracts, congested fixture lists. I think these guys genuinely forget their earning the UK average salary in less than a week so high expectations of there output should be a given.

    Spurs need to play Maddison more. He gives them more control of the game. Put Solanke on the bench.
    Defence: Porro, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie.
    Midfield: Bissouma, Sarr, Maddison.
    Forwards: Son, Kulusevski, Johnson.
    This is a far more balanced team.

    • @inkosiumoja2663
      @inkosiumoja2663 5 днів тому +1

      Romero and van der ven out injured. One of Udogie or Porro to be rotated with spence realistically. Last time we beat them 3-0 away from home with solanke up top. Didn’t he score?

    • @zingisamahlasela
      @zingisamahlasela 5 днів тому

      @ I get the injuries. I meant their ideal starting 11. They can rest players and change around the margins, but not ruin the team chemistry.
      Firstly, it was a much weaker United (structure, coaching) that they played against, wouldn’t you agree? Secondly, Solanke scored against Chelsea too. What happened in that game? For me, it’s between him and Johnson. And I’d go with the latter.

    I truly hope Ange finds a club who actually wants to pull their finger out of their arse and win something.

    What a ridiculous thing to say. A prime minister has probably one of if not the most difficult job around. A prime minister’s decisions have major implications for the population of a country. They work unsocial hours and at times have to make life and death decisions (e.g. sending combat troops to a region, ordering drone strikes on a region which may cause civilian casualties).
    Yes, football managers come under scrutiny but at the end of the day a football manager coaches a team kick a ball in a park. Whether your team wins or loses has very little to no impact in the real world.
