- Today we got the opportunity to play The Old Course in St Andrews... what an experience it was. Tim attempts to Break 90 and ends up having one of the greatest rounds of his life.
About Cheeky Golf Club:
We're three brothers who started this channel to document our journey at becoming (slightly) better golfers while not taking ourselves and our golf game too seriously. We attempt interesting challenges (e.g. playing golf every day till we make 18 pars in a row, hitting 10,000 golf balls in 30 days) to see how they impact our game. Ideally we'll also have some fun guests on to play golf with.

Dude, I wish more people just enjoyed the game in the way you do. Just being appreciative to be out there is such an awesome attitude. Inspiring and a reminder to always have fun. Cheers!
Thanks for the nice comment Chris!! And yeah 100% agree, just happy to be playing! Hope you have a good round this weekend, too
🎉🎉🎉 An 83 on the Old Course! Birdie on #1 and par on #17! That was so fun to watch.
I get inspired by the pace of your swing, your positive attitude, the fact that you don’t hit 300 yard drives, and especially by your chipping prowess. I can see what getting better actually looks like after a lifetime of struggling to break 100.
Thanks for the kind words, that really means a lot! I'm sure you'll be breaking 90 in no time, too!
Would love to see a scramble with all 3 brothers !
Haha we might have that one coming soon!
Great video! Great to see The Old Course played like this! Great views of iconic holes!
this was genuinely fun to watch. keep it up man!
Thanks that means a lot!
This is exactly how my first round at chambers bay went! Super nervous off the first tee, had some good holes and some bad holes, but pulled out an 82. You are fun to watch in enjoying the 18 pars in a row series you have going. Keep it up man
Thanks for following along here too! And you’re right, that first tee shot at big courses is always a lil intimidating
Great to see I'm not the only one who always starts well and ruins it by the 5th hole xD
Very enjoyable watch!
Good work fellas!
Couldn’t watch without smiling. Great round, great attitude and a great Quad Bogey putt 👏🏽
Ah thanks that means a lot!! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic! Congratulations on making a memory that you bring with you the rest of your life!
Very true! Thank you for watching!
Very true! Thank you for watching!
Well played! Loved the way that you went for it and parred the 17th. Single figure handicap on the horizon - no doubts at all.
Thanks for the kind words!! We're on our way!
Love the way you are enjoying ! Keep doing this
Thanks for watching! And yes will keep going!
Thanks for watching! And yes will keep going!
Your iron play was fire again loved watching this, got me pumped. Hoping to play there next May.
Thank you!! That's exciting, good luck to you (especially on the first tee shot haha)
My favourite golf channel to watch at the moment. Keep it up 🫡
Ah that means a lot man!! Thank you!
The rare windless day at St. Andrews. When I played, we had 30 mph wind gusts! Nice round, though - you had 3 or 4 lip-outs, or you might’ve broken 80! Thanks for the video; it was great to be able to re-live the iconic Old Course experience.
Wow that mus thave been wild! Hope your round went well, too?
What a round at a dream destination course congratulations
Congrats on the round, Tim, but especially on par on 17! I made par there, too, and I consider it my singular greatest athletic achievement.
Hahahah I absolutely love that!
You played some solid golf !!! well done guys
Thanks!!
What a round of golf! Congratulations!
Thank you for watching!
It was great to see you guys play!
Thanks!
Great round Tim. Keep it up 👍
Thanks, will do!
Get this man a tour card 😂 quality mate
Hahaha maybe on day 10,000 😂
The stuff dreams are made of. Well in!
Thank you for watching!
Yes boys, love the vids. Where are the three of you from originally? Been trying to figure it out from your accents
Thank you!! We're half german half kiwi, and grew up in asia so have mixed international school accents haha (very hard to pinpoint)
Yo why was your drop on hole six hitting four? Shouldn’t it be drop two, hitting three? Or is there something I’m missing?
OB and lost ball is either retee 3 (or rehit prev location) or stroke and distance, so if you hit a good retee or hit a good drive that leaked OB originally, either way you'll be hitting 4 from the fairway. It's effectively a 2 stroke penalty. More severe than a red hazard.
If your first is ob and you didnt rehit, you can drop where it crossed and you get 2 penalty instead of 1. I think its a new rule from 2019.
Looks like the guys below already explained, thank you 🫡
Thanks for the explanations! I didn’t know you could drop on an OB ball. Since he dropped I assumed it was a red hazard.
I respect how u rounded ur handicap up instead of down for the caption lol
hahaha just being honest
Crushed it!
Thanks for watching!
Ball striking was on point 🥳🍻
Thank you!!
That 6th hole was heartbreaking! Done well to come away from that with an 8
Haha you’re right, never thought I’d be so happy walking away with an 8
Haha you’re right, never thought I’d be so happy walking away with an 8
well played
Thank you sir
Let’s go!!!!
🙌🙌
I hit 91 in February and I'm 18 handicap so I'm saying easily
That’s a great score for playing at the old course, good work!
Anyone gonna tell him he made a 7 on hole 6? “Shot 4” was actually your third
No. Dropping after OB is a two stroke penalty
Are we getting a picture of the Mac and Cheese!?
Haha damn you’re right we should have shared that
83 with a quad is impeccable
Really? Did u have to say the one thing could spoil the video? Not mad just disappointed 😔
Kind of a jerk move tbh
Nice spoiler!
Hahaha thank you, could have easily escalated from there
@@cheekygolfclubcan you pin another comment? This comment has ruined the video for me and a lot of others
Spoiler block
Could have broke 80 easy if the putter was warmer
That’s very true, going to have to get some lessons here
Everyone says don’t play St Andrews, so many better courses in the chain, and other than the prestige side of it, I can see why.
With no real wind, so open and always seem to have a shot into the green, unless you are really wired.
And putting from everywhere is not a skilled, get the chipper working.
Great round but the video, not inspired me to want to play it .
Thanks for watching the video! And yeah I see where you're coming from - it really does just feel like a special place when you're there though. More about the overall atmosphere than just the course I think

Without doubt I get that Buzz
Hopefully bump into you again on a course in Surrey soon
Team america 🇺🇸 🇺🇲
Hahaha we’re not American
I mean, this is great content, but Augusta is probably the most famous course
Yeah I agree - it's probably between Augusta and the Old Course
Round of his life..! Only getting started!! 🫡
You’re right! Maybe we’ll try play again after day 300?
Hey, You’re playing with keeks golf 🥸
Haha yes she’s super nice!
