- RW Johnson is known for his best-selling book, “How Long Will SA Survive? The Looming Crisis” which he wrote in 1977 about the survival prospects of apartheid. He believes that the situation has become so critical that the question must be asked again.
7 years later its almost completely crumbled
So here we are, its' 2018 and sure enough, it went that way!

Thank you Dr Johnson for shedding light on the deep economic causes of the abandonment of apartheid, 1985-90, and teaching us that similar causes will lead to the failure of the post-apartheid status quo. The land expropriation program is a desperate demagogic distraction, to draw attention away from the ANC's racial cronyism and overall economic incompetence.
Thank you for telling SA people about situation we are because of government system,rather than complaining about ANC we need leaders like you Mr.

I am watching this at the end of 2021 and I hate to say it that year on year since 2015 we've deteriorated at a fast rate, this includes the downgrades they we were dreading here from the ratings agencies....terrible what the ANC has done to this country. x

Read the book by the same name in 2015 . Very good book and the scenarios painted are pretty much playing out.

Well, one might think that this man is a Prophet having first heard this lecture today. Most whites knew that apartheid was not on and voted in the referendum to allow the change into an ANC Government under Mandela. For many of us it was so beautiful to see Mandela. Many white people didn't feel this way. not for the man but rather what would follow after his term as President came to an end. john jefferson this is indeed the harsh truth John. It doesn’t condemn blacks to total dysfunction but they do have to structure their society appropriately and attract investment and skilled help as necessary. However, Africans just seem too willing to always look for the easy path.

I am no economist but American Debt-to-GDP (>700% in 2023) is so huge if we were to measure their success on it SA (70% in 2023) would be doing better. It is a useless indicator if viewed alone without a real look at what the borrowed money does.

How are ordinary people watching the goverment literally running off with sofas full of stolen loot whilst insisting they're exceptional BRICS members, all while the power grid shuts down 23 hours a day?
