BN@10: Rob Hersov ‘reserves a special place in Hell’ for appeasing SA business execs

Поділитися
Вставка
  • Опубліковано 7 сер 2023
  • When handed a microphone and offered a podium, global entrepreneur turned business activist Rob Hersov rarely disappoints. Some deliveries, however, are better than others and his ad-libbed opening address at the conference to celebrate the 10th BizNews anniversary was a tour de force. Hersov took no prisoners, castigating SA business leaders whom he believes are colluding with the ANC government - and sharing his dream of a country fulfilling its undeniable potential after the 2024 National Election. Potent. Inspirational. Visionary. If this doesn’t fill you with hope, nothing will.

Fantastic. I, as many others believe in South Africa and will continue to fight as long as we can, but we need to be brutally honest about what is going on in our country. If we don't get the ANC out of power, our country will die.

@holland516 Literally anyone at this point. I can't see how they can care less, steal more, and be less efficient than the ANC. I dont think that line of thinking has any merit, and a naive and weak way of confronting this problem. Exactly what Rob is talking about. The time has come for change. We can deal with those roadblocks as they arise.

WE MUST DECIDE WHO WE TRADE WITH. The west screwed up every country they laid their hands on. They are the ones that laid into the ANC pockets. Get rid of the Party Syatem by changing the electoral system. Rewrite our constitution becoz it's KAK. I want to protect my family and property if in danger. We need system change. I believe OHM (Organic Humanity Movement) is the only party addressing these issues.

Government influence on business should be cut by 75% or more. The markets should be free to grow. The only constraints should be based on logic - not ideology. Thank you Rob, for taking a stand.

I find it hard to believe that people don't talk.. i find it hard to believe that they cant see... This is still an ideological issue pushed into the minds of young people... If i hit you with a stick, you wouldn't like me, why when the ANC hits the young black people of this country repeatedly with a stick, they still vote for them? Ignorance is no an excuse my friend... It seems the more people suffer, the more they want to try socialism... Get good internet, educate people... But no, lets oppress the uneducated so that they still vote for us and we just tell them its someone else that caused it...
The fact that the EFF even has a platform in this country shows the mentality... No educated smart person can believe that his ideas.1) has not been tried, 2)that a not so smart person like himself will somehow fix this but the sings racial songs like kill the farmer.... All he is accomplishing is aggravating tension between blacks and whites... that's not helping anybody...

It's a challenge convincing these people that the ANC is a Mafia organization. The biggest problem is that most people in the above-mentioned provinces aren't educated properly, most have poor education backgrounds, which makes it even more difficult to explain critical information

I believe many who left SA will come back to rebuild our beautiful country. Africa will become more prosperous than anyone can imagine - mark these words ... in just a few short months with the right management. We can't fix a broken system. How I wish the opposition parties DA, Build One South Africa, Action SA could see eye to eye. Currently their back stabbing and egos are playing into the ANC strategy of opposition parties that are not coordinated. And the voters also see this and lose hope which results to "voter apathy" giving the ruling party victory.

I agree the ANC should be removed from control. Coalitions are the best way forward but it will mean that other parties will have to work with the ANC. I don’t believe that voters are ready for a DA led government. However, the speakers agenda is pro West and clearly supports political parties who support his dream for a new wave of colonialism through western FDI. My view is that SA is better off at diversifying its FDIs and focus on its own interests instead of playing to the west, east or Eurasia. Africa is the Westeros in the game of Thrones. No real friends, they all come with their own interests! They have only one goal and that is to keep extracting natural resources from Africa without real commitment in uplifting the lives of the poor! This speaker is selling the WEF’s agenda.

Now you getting warmer. Hersov, is set up to create division. The west is the evil perpetrator. How is it that we constantly looking for a political saviour. I didn't hear Hersorv at the height of apartheid....I wonder why. Let's do away with the party system, rewrite the crap constitution, change the electoral system, each vote for president all the way down to ward councillor. That way the global elite will find it difficult to penetrate. We have an abundance of minerals and natural gas. We have expertise galore. Incentivise our farmers to come back - you'll be shocked to find out who is behind farm murders. Go research the farming community in Netherlands, look what Trudeau did in Canada, anyone find out about the shinnanigans in USA. Who bought farms in SA - connevt the dots, guys.Kick out UN, UNESCO ( they drilling primary school with Comprehensive Sexual Education CSE), WHO and IMF. They MUST negotiate on our terms - the terms of the people of SA. LASTLY, the last folks you want to govern, SA, is the DA - your freedom will be taken away from you.👍🙏🙏🙏GOD BLESS SA.

The problem now is that the problems which the apartheid government engineered to be faced by the non-European are now in small doses being faced by former beneficiaries of apartheid. It’s an opportunity for genuine collaboration but there is lack of sincerity just like 1994 when the olive branch was extended to create a rainbow nation.
The challenge for you lot is that, your vision is a nostalgic for what South Africa used to be pre-1994. Those who have been in so called informal settlements, using pit latrines, no electricity, no running water, facing poor education and health outcomes and high unemployment life was terrible then when they had no liberty or prospect of social mobility. For many of them life remains terrible but they can see there is opportunity for social mobility as some of their skinfolk have moved up in life. Anyone who talks about meritocracy whilst ignoring the structural inequalities is insincere. It’s impossible to attain a fairer, more egalitarian society if you don’t address historical wrongs & bring everyone or at least most people to a point where they can compete and contribute.

Those who support the Springboks, also support the racist quota system that discriminate against boys from the age of 10 years old up to the senior team. You therefore also support BBBEE, EE, Expropriation without compensation and the latest, water rights allocated on race....
If you support the Springboks therefore, you support the racist ANC and should not complain about where the country is inevitably heading...The ANC receives amazingly positive publicity from the success of the Springboks and the mirage of the rainbow nation (something that has never existed under the ANC)
No black person supported the Springboks under apartheid, and they used pressure on the Springboks to great effect to end the system of apartheid...

When trouble starts, the villagers always wish they had a clever chief, to step forward and solve all their problems. Then, one does step forward and he knows what to do. He tells them what they are doing wrong and how to fix things. They dont like that because, at the basic level, people are morons. They like being morons, its comfortable. Like watching random videos on UA-cam, instead of doing something constructive.
